-=seany=- 65 Posted June 28, 2012 Your better off not trying to climb anything (other than fences) in the Arma engine ( well DayZ anyway), if your player model clips it or glitches you will die instantly. Same for rocks or boulders, never try to walk up or over them, it works 80% of the time, but occasionally you will just die. Another one is opening and closing doors. Be very careful when doing this as you can get crushed and instant death. Try to not let the door touch you while its moving. The last danger I can think of is trying to squeeze between to objects, like a wall and a DayZ added trash pile or rubble etc. If you can't get by very easily, just ignore it. trying to squeeze through will probably kill you. Oh! one last one, damaged buildings, these are death traps. You can survive...but is it really worth the risk? :)Anyway looking forward to the update! No rush, get it right! And yes they will charge you sometimes, my buddy got a nice gash in his leg a few years ago and I've had to jump out of the way a couple times. It would be great to have some of this simulated with wild animals... most importantly the "bust" effect of startling them and having them run out of the area. Also handguns (except .44 mag) are useless against most game. The bullets will just piss them off. Finally, there is a fairly small kill zone in wild game (lungs/heart), and if you miss it you will rarely find the animal. Even good double-lung shots can result in an animal running a few hundred yards (especially hogs) needing tracking skills to find the animal. Pretty sure it means that when you are in zed's line of sight, getting closer to them exponentially increases the chances of being spotted. So if you have high visibility zeds can spot you from farther away than they can currently, but with a low chance. That chance increases as you get closer to them. My two buddies headed down before me no problem. I get to the stairs and CRUNCH... 6,000 blood loss before I could bandage.Bugs like that piss me off (but this is alpha so meh...) In a real zombie apocalypse I would try and make some friends, I understand not everyone will want to ally with you and you can never fully trust someone, but there needs to be some benefit for me to talk to the person I meet instead of shooting them before they see me.Not sure if it would work, but i noticed that there were multiple teams and we are all on blufor. Is there a way to use the other teams so that one can be for survivor and one could be for bandit, maybe make it so blufor cant hurt blufor but we could still shoot/kill the other team. Just because everyone is a survivor doesn't mean you're on the same 'team.' Once they implement a method of forming groups / squads, I imagine the group chat thing would work in that case. ATOJAR 23 Posted June 28, 2012 How about a mutual agreement or "trust" option in game, Where as players can join a sort of team/group(they can still kill and shoot each other etc)and there are rewards for teaming/grouping up.I dunno maybe make it so that when you hover your iron-sight/crosshair over a person that is say a maximum of 10ft away(they must be within 10ft)you then scroll your mouse wheel as you would but there is a option to "team up" or "trust" .. Something like that, If you do that the other person gets a option to either say yes or no, If the other person accepts this you both now "trust" each other and you can work as a team(of course you could betray that trust and kill the other player if you wish)Now if players team up we could have maybe moral or happiness that you only get from teaming up .. Something like that where if we break a bone, Bleed, Go into shock or become sick the effects maybe last half of the time & naturally wear off or stop over time without the need for morphine or pills etc, Maybe make it that you have say 30% less chance of taking critical damage from the infected, I dunno just some ideasObviously don't wanna overpower teaming with extra items or weapons etc.I dunno, What do you guys think? Yush 0 Posted June 28, 2012 Died to a Survivor who only had an axe and claimed to be friendly. I saw him sneaking over to me so I turned around to shoot him. For some reason my character refused to shoot and instead took multiple axe swings to the face. When I respawned my character wouldn't stop running backwards trying to move in any direction didn't fix it and when I logged and relogged (to try and fix) I log in to my character collapsing with about a 5 minute timer.
