Why would you leave the North-east corner? Ever?
DannyRed replied to maninthewall's topic in General Discussion
90% of the people really do want to team up and/or have social interactions of some sort. Balancing the game with it's KOS mentality is another subject. -

And that is mainly because people are pussies and want to loot without any danger. This game is supposed to be a survival game. -

better zombies, unforgiving climate, more challenging surviving mechanics and the need to catch some breath after the stamina system is added will bring some excitement back to dayz for me. I still don't get why the devs gave people the option to make their own servers. There should only be offical servers so that the servers would be full as they are supposed to. -
How are we unofficially going to call this type zed
DannyRed replied to basinox's topic in General Discussion
They should be called "nothing" as in they shouldn't even exist in the game. They just look that stupid. -
This is why there should only be offical servers. Restarting servers often is cheating.

EDITED - PETITION: Should a sound be made when we log on and off?
DannyRed replied to Grimey Rick's topic in General Discussion
People like to bitch about these types of things. But the truth is that you should not be logging out in a bad spot in the first place.. Some sound should be added back. This only helps the game to get rid of some of the loot hoarders. If you're not okay with this then you're probably one of those. -
I agree that the animations could be a little better. Exessive strafing should have a penalty on your character. I hope that the stamina system does something to this problem. But what I am against is to make this more like arma 2 was. The movement should be smooth as butter.

In the past there were cool ideas like repairing the electricity for a town to have light sources etc. I still think it would be cool to have missions to have benefits to them but I'm totally against about making Dayz like every other mmo out there. Quests would be the death of dayz imo. Having tons of ways you could play the game and for having the NEED to have them makes the game for me. Repairing my get away vehicle and driving somewhere where nobody ever goes would be my ideal "ultimate end game". Fishing on an island with no care in the world would be epic. Would play until I die irl.

Timelock System (Prevent Night-dodging Serverhoppers)
DannyRed replied to Zetal's topic in Suggestions
I really like this idea and I'm all for it but I'm sure most of the people don't like it since they have 2 holes down there. For hardcore on the other hand it would fit perfectly. It's there for us who like to torture ourselves so why not. -
What do you do when you have all the gear you want?
DannyRed replied to ColdHeat's topic in General Discussion
I'll loot at a couple quiet towns until I get to hunt in the next patch. -
Areas of the game that could/should be improved.
DannyRed replied to blazed's topic in General Discussion
If there were too much confrontation the tenseness would not feel the same anymore. I think that it's great to have the game fooling you time and time again that everything is fine until you see someone and you panic and don't know what to do. Nothing beats that after playing so much of mmo's or other multiplayer games like the regular fps. The zombies and the enviroment are supposed to give us the difficulty and challenge and not the other players only but it's not there as of now. That's why we really cannot consider to make any conclusions on the game until this is done. Good that you voice your opinion though.
