monolith1985 109 Posted May 2, 2014 (edited) i decided to ask the scan website to build me a PC at console price, around £300 as im on a tight budget. here is the build they suggested:4GB (2x2GB) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Jet Black Low Profile, PC3-12800 (1600), Non-ECC, CAS 9-9-9-24, XMP, 1.5V - costing £36.48500GB Seagate ST500DM002 Barracuda 7200.14 SATA 6Gb/s, 7200rpm, 16MB Cache, 8.5ms, NCQ - costing £35.98500W Zalman ZM500-GS, Uncertified, Quiet Fan, ATX v2.3, PSU - costing 35.40Sharkoon VS3-S Black/Green ATX Mid Tower Case 120mm Quiet Fan w/o PSU - costing £22.94Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE 24x DVD±R, 8x DVD±DL, DVD+RW x8/-RW x6, x12 RAM Dual Layer SATA BLACK OEM - costing £11.98Intel Pentium G3220, S 1150, Haswell, Dual Core, 3.0GHz, 1100MHz GPU, 30x Ratio, Retail - costing £41.94MSI H81M-P33, Intel H81, S 1150, DDR3, SATA III - 6Gb/s, PCIe 2.0 (x16), D-Sub/DVI-D, Micro ATX - costing 32.171GB Gainward GTX 750, PCIe 3.0, 5000MHz GDDR5, GPU 1033MHz, Boost 1111MHz, Cores 512, DPort/DVI/HDMI - costing 87.30 total £315.17 so opinions on FPS/graphics quality? I know the processor isn't the best, but im currently using a pentium e5700, and i watched a jackfrags video that had a similar build and it can get a steady 30fps in cities on the mod, so i should be able to get the same on standalone, if not now then in the near future, and that motherboard should be capable of accepting an i5 processor when i want to upgrade?as for the ram, i was aiming for 4gb, but would i be better getting a single 4gb rather than the 2x2, as i plan to upgrade to 8gb at a later pointlastly graphics card, seems like a good one, but would i be better with 4GB Sapphire Radeon Radeon R7 240, 1800MHz GDDR3, GPU 730MHz, Boost 780MHz, 320 Streams, D-Sub/DVI-D/HDMIas its cheaper, and seems to have more dedicated memory and clock speed, but im not an expert on such things :/ so would this be good? not just for dayz, but for other games, the most recent/demanding one for me would be skyrimalternatively, can anyone make a better build for the same price?(sorry for the long post) Edited May 2, 2014 by monolith1985

(Yes/No) No No, you cannot run DayZ on that system. Sorry! Can I run dayz on high or max settings? FPS? Also could I run arma 3 on high or max? Desktop or Laptop? DesktopMonitor res. 1080pCPU: 4th gen intel i5GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745RAM: 8GBSSD? No No, more like low-medium settings. Just wondering if my desktop will run dayz standalone?Cpu: AMD PHENOM X4 b-60 3.3 ghzGpu: RADEON 6400RAM: 4 gb 1333 ddr3Motherboard: Asus XTREME DESIGN M4N68T-M motherboard250gb hard drive Yeah, it will just about run but performance may be a bit iffy and require some tweaking to get everything running smoothly. Hi, I am a new pc player and wondering if someone could help by telling me if this Laptop will run the game:Intel Core i3-2350M CPU@2.304.00gb ram64 bit operating system.Intel HD GraphicsI understand a laptop is not the best for PC gaming but its all I got at the moment. Any help from developers if they are here or other players alike would be awesome. Thanks It will run the game but it would be a bit of a struggle. I would expect some tweaking to be required and gameplay would still be choppy in cities. Here are my specs. Can I run it? http://gyazo.com/1b100d61832c7ce0b234a8ec88184fd1 No, sorry! (Yes/No) no i bought this laptop for gaming though my fps wont get higher then 20 fps is it just my hardware?i got all my settings the lowest the can be at.hope some one can help me out! Yeah, pretty much. It's an intensive game and most laptops are not cut out for gaming. The tweaks detailed in this topic may help you gain a few FPS here and there...http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/154330-possible-fps-enhancer/ ...But I wouldn't expect any miracles. Hello again. Could this pc run dayZ well and on what settings and fps.Thanks.http://www.cclonline.com/product/142042/NoMfgCode/All-CCL-Desktops/CCL-Elite-Owl-III-Gaming-PC/CCL-EL-OWL3/ Yeah, it'll run the game on low-med settings. Can't really comment on FPS as I don't know anyone that runs the game on a Pentium. Edited May 3, 2014 by Mos1ey

Legoman2179 2 Posted May 3, 2014 I have a budget of 1000-1200 dollars and I want to get a prebuilt to run DayZ at high or max settings. I will not be recording and 20 FPS in cities will be just fine. Im thinking of playing the mod. I know prebuilts aren't the best choice in terms of price:performance ratio but I have very very little knowledge of computers and i don't want to F up the CPU chip air anything so DO NOT SAY JUST BUILD IT YOURSELF! I was looking at the Alienware X51 with: 4th gen intel core i5 44408GB DDR3 RAMUPGRADING TO AN AMD Radeon R9 270No SSDMonitor, 1080p I know the Alienware X51 isn't the best choice but i want to know if it would run it at high settings at about 20 FPS in towns. If not, what is a better computer for $1000 CAN that could do that or better
