Right now looking at labtops to purchase and I really want one that can run dayz. I really like the Lenovo u430 but I was wondering if any of you could tell me if this would run dayz. I'm primarily interested in the SA but no strong preference. Here's a link to the labtop  http://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Ultrabook-Touch-Screen-i7-4500U-processor/dp/B00HJX1ZKK

Intel HD Graphics 4400? At absolute minimum detail settings, you'll be lucky to keep 30 FPS. There's no way you're going to play DayZ fluently on a $700 or less laptop.

Check here for what kind of performance you can expect from the 4400

I'd be content on low settings so do you think if I ran it on that do you think it's possible?

I get around 15 FPS in the forest when there's no zombies/players at minimum detail settings on an HD 3000. 2 models later, you miiiiight get 20 FPS in towns 20-30 in the forest, maaaaaaaaaybe. It would not be an enjoyable experience. I know the 44 is a ulv (ultra low voltage), meaning it might be as slow as my integrated card, if not slower.

What's your budget limit? I might be able to help you get a better laptop for around $1,000.

A touch screen? Really.

They're more useful than you think. I'd personally never buy a laptop with one, of course.

My Asus G75V gets 50+ FPS...

Rome 2 it gets 45 FPS with darn near max settings and unit size...

Arma 3 is 50 FPS...

Its more like a desktop replacement. I run A3 and Dayz at the max settings. Expect for the PP and Radial Blur and crud.

Down side it starts around $1700. Worth every penny..

Everything except the GPU would work.  You're going to need something a bit beefier than that.  If your willing to spend almost double that, I use a Sager np8150 and it runs DayZ mod and SA on basically the highest settings with a few turned down a bit.

You should consider upgrading to better card  but you would see greater benefits from better & faster CPU

You need to include more details than that, like what is the chipset / gpu card or better yet, the laptop model -

but assuming its 945 chipset - you will have a hard time running it on anything better than very low resolution with everything on low.

Upgrading the CPU should be doable though  ( unless the graphic card of that laptop is integrated and too weak and outdated to even warrant upgrading the CPU )

  •    Upon review, will this run it medium-high settings? What average FPS?

What will be the best settings for it? ( preset; high, medium, low )

I chose a Notebook with this configuration:

- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M

Hey: I would like to play with Maximum quality, is it possible with this computer?

Thanks a lot!

Hi guys, I really need to know if this PC what I'm planning on buying will allow me  to run Dayz without lag. That is all I'm bothered about. Thanks in advance.

Desktop or laptop? Desktop
Monitor resolution: 1440 x 900 (I will be using a LCD TV for the time being until I can save up for a good monitor)
CPU: AMD A8 6600K Quad Core Processor / CPU running at 3.9GHz (With 4.2GHz Turbo Mode)
Graphics card: AMD RADEON HD8570D
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz
SSD? (Yes/No) I don't think so, on the description it says "SD Memory Card Reader built into top of case"

Hello all,

Pretty much a complete noob to pc's gaming and all involved.I live in the uk and am looking for a rig that will run dayz to a good quality (no lag etc) I have a budget of about £300- £500 but would like to keep it as cheap as possible. Any suggestions on a whole set up or links to a pre built machine with the right capabilitys?. Can I even do this within this budget or am i being nieve?
