I appreciate the metaphor and I understand the subtleties of parody.

however if you post a video clearly showing the use of 'tools' which are largely responsible for the near ruination of this incredible mod expect a backlash.

Just to throw it out there, none of our admins play the game they just admin, so infinite ammo or not is irrelevant.

infinate ammo is not available for admins on the server. the server in question is my test server for my antihack where i test out hacks so i can minimise the effects they have on our servers.

 

all the admins actions on our servers are logged to a file that if any players on our server wish to see they can see it.

 

what we can do in game on our servers is replace lost items due to glitches.

 

none of our admins play on our servers just maintain them.

 

this is not a promotional video in any respect.

 

if any of our playerbase feels unjust they are free to contact me as are any of you.

 

to say that we have these hacks at our disposal on our servers is unjust as we don't perhaps you should ask first instead what was an internal joke about the players views on our servers turns into an attack about my own personal ArmA server.

Sadly Electricfuneral has ignored every single of my posts regarding this and completely ignored my valid arguments, which leads me to the feeling he's only trying to troll anyway.

 

I do not think it's worth even trying anymore, as our playerbase has clearly stated none of the accusations are true.

however you may have noticed that if there is one thing that unites all decent players it is this.

the use of scripts or hacks by players within the mod is un-f*cking-acceptable.

 

and this video shows precisely that, albeit in a rather different context, unfortunately that context is not made clear in the video itself and as such anyone who views it and loves dayz will be repelled by it.

If I owned a server, no way would I let a vid that displayed the use of a mechinism that could and has been used for cheating have my server name be attached to it.

 

To each there own tho.

 

This isnt an attack on you or your server, its an attack on cheaters, hackers, any mechinisim that can be used for cheating and the use of any type of these mechinisms in any type of situation.

 

In my book when you cross the line to use these mechinisms then you've crossed over to that team no matter your excuse to use them.

Y'all need to step back and chill the fuck out. Freaking out over a parody video. Now if this video showed actual mliciousintent against actual players I could understand but it doesn't and if you cant understand that then it is no longer an issue. These people have been around a lot longer then any of you and know bit more of what goes on here.

Designed to create dispute because of the foolishness and ignorance of those who feel that using an administrator tool on a test server is, what appears to be, against human rights and morally wrong.

 

What the DayZ Forum Team for which I am a part of conduct away from the Forums is irrelevant to an extent and thus it need not be worried about, discussed nor brought into the context whatsoever. (I know not even of where you think that MustyGaming boasts moderators.) I promote fun and adventure to no ends and so if a few hard-working people who rarely having time to play the game wish to have fun by putting together a video for their community, in which the community find it hilarious, then by all means I will let them do so.
