Based on the Reddit interview with Rocket and his tweet that he will work hard on the standalone for the next two weeks. We can safely assume that we can get the alpha after two weeks from now or near that time. Can't wait! :)

Can you give us a link for this Interview ?

Thanks

Still the same generic zombie sound effects.........

They are placeholders...

Sure sound is easy, but it's also a cost for each sound. We're not finished adding shit that requires sound. It is much, much more expensive to sounds in drips and drabs than to do them in bulk. So we wait until we're finished adding shit, and the sounds are more or less "final", then we do a big batch of sound creation.

And another video here, you actually get a nice look at the new shipwreck in this one, inside and out, and also it's position on the map too.

http://www.gamebreak...an-rocket-hall/

I love how Rocket talks about changing the look and layout of the supermarket in the vid. Never liked it.

And UGH! another vid with a BIS guy wearing a moto helmet. Im beginning to think they all have a fetish and walk around work in them. :P

Really interested in how they develop the interacting with the environment on down the line.

old rocket loves to showcase the SA's 'crafting' element by magically making 2 bits of map stick together to make 1 bit of map, lol, not sure what you'd call that but it sure aint crafting.

Where is the selotape? you should need tape, a staple gun or some other method of adhesion to fasten the two bits together then, maybe, you could call it crafting. Even then it's kinda stretching the definition of crafting.

Just sayin.

edit - I have done a fair bit of travelling and I collect maps from everywhere I visit, I have stacks of em but I never, ever saw a map that came in quarters.... just sayin, again

I don't like the whole walking up stairs thing. Even in real life in non-stressful situations I run up stairs, let alone if someone is potentially chasing me. Have I just missed people running up stairs or are they always walking?

He's just demoing that they have the basis of the system now that they can easily expand.

I like that the map is in pieces because I suggested that a long time ago because the map is so detailed but that's just me :D

So we can poison water now....

I already see everyone in my group except me having frequent and painful (possibly liquid) bowel movements

Yeh I hope that gets adjusted in time, same with walking up hills, I don't expect to be able to run up a steep hill but it's kind of annoying when you suddenly go from running to instantly walking because the hill incline changed one degree and having to zig zag to avoid that.

Agreed. For anything that might slow you down I don't think it should be one speed or the other (run super fast or walk super slowly). There should just be consequences. You're going to get tired faster if you run up a steep hill. You should gradually lose speed or it should take a toll on how often you need to eat or drink (or both!).

Anyways, not too concerned about it, just thought I'd bring it up.
