Last year me and my friend got this LEGO urge (we were 24 at the time) and spent four hours driving around different stores to find those big red boxes with different pieces on, then we occupied his living room. Best summer ever.

I think they edited that scene out of stepbrothers.

They also cut the part where my friend broke up with his then girlfriend on bad terms, moved out of that place and us never getting our LEGO back. I don't like her.

Hello there

This is splendid, *muffins* for everyone.

All lego pieces in LDD *are* official, in fact the Lego chaps use a version of it to create new sets and they use Maya to render it up in 3D.

The drawback with LDD is that it does not support some of the older uncommon pieces, but most folk won't need those.

I want to see more of your work, all of you. Even messing around helps you to learn.

Petrol Station Pics to come later today.

Hello there

It's often not easy to manipulate.

when you click on an item ( and move it a bit) an icon like your arrow keys will appear next to the item. use the arrow keys to rotate your Lego.

I'm downloading the Lego designer thing now and will attempt to build something straight away. If we pool our resources we can create Chernarus in lego. Let it be!

(I'll probably just get frustrated and rage-quit)

Hello there

Frag's there is much righteous rage-quitting involve in this hobby. Although an infinite number of bricks is a cool prospect there are drawbacks to digital Lego creation. Be prepared to be both frustrated and rewarded.

Try to copy an existing plan to get to grips with it.

Looking forward to seeing yer stuff!

I havent played with LEGO since the summer of '95. I stepped on one that sent pain shooting across my foot setting off a chain of events that has since made me fearful of these things.

There is a reason I called a piece the "little bastard" a few pages back. :(

I have spent quite some time with LDD now and as usual when I'm being creative I haven't finished a god damn thing. The challenge, as I think was stated earlier in this thread, is to build it like you would build it in real life; connecting pieces and so on so it would not fall over when finished. Combine that with the amount of pieces available and I spend more time testing stuff than actually building. Some day, though. :)

EDIT: Oh, and hurry up with that petrol station. And a deer stand. Then make the rest, chop chop.

Yeh, I'm always being creative and not finishing anything. I literally have about 10 unfinished paintings, 3 animations I can't be arsed to finish and a couple of tunes I was messing about with. I may build a Lego survivor though, surely I can make it to the end.
