All that for less than £20? Damn good model, damned good.

I hope Utes is closer, I tried swimming to that smaller Island and it took me bloody ages. Did i see a crashed chopper in the Swamp?

I am gonna love searching around now, no longer in and out, have to really look, and nice to see 3rd person and has 1st person been changed? seemed a bit wider?

One thing is for sure I will need a new computer for this game. anyone know the settings they used?

the animations don't look really good for now, but commands look far more reactive on the other hand. Movements inside buildings look less clunky, so all in all it's a nice improvement.

I hate the blue underwear, the models look too... futuristic I guess? I think it comes straight from arma 3, and I don't know it just doesn't fit the setting in my opinion.

But the hoodie and tactical vest are cool! and rocket mentioned hundreds of clothing items :) just ... wow!

What underwear would you prefer? Hello Kitty? ;)

btw...how was the sparkling wine ??

as usual we drank the whole bottle, because why not...but then, also as usual, i had to drink beer afterwards to get rid of that foul taste. at least my relationship had a benefit from the "delay".

Only if I get to take them off of you. ;)

I don't know what's wrong with me...

At least the color of your underwear should be pre-configured ^^

Doesn't have to be camo pattern, but something a bit closer to what people would wear would be nice.

I also don't like those shorts. I'd feel more comfortable If I'd wear regular boxers.

Edit: considering how long it takes me sometimes, to choose what gear I keep and what I leave behind, 100s of cloth-items will fuck me up.

I can already hear direct communication "should I wear the green or the blue shirt" "yeah i know, green is less visible, but blue one looks so nice" "you're right, green is probably better"....

Uhm, I'm a little disappointed about animations, I was expecting some improvements like in Arma III. IMO movement speed is way to fast, looks unrealistic and make it hard to move inside buildings.

what i personally would like to see, is clothes to be far more spoiled and dirty. I mean it is the apocalypse and clear water is rare i guess...just more worn out etc..

It actually looks...really good. I love the loot system that actually makes you scavenge.

Like... a white T-shirt and dark/black underwear? I mean just anything but that flashy blue... it hurts my eyes.

I don't think clothing should have such colors, I mean it's a survival apocalypse, Id like a more dark tone like the road...

Maybe its just details for most people, but I like to feel immersed in a world where I have the feeling every object belong there.

EDIT : And where is the teddy bear backpack?!! this other game is so much superior when it comes to teddy bear backpacks

As far as I've heard, you're clothes will get dirty over time and how dirty they get will be dependent on what you do (eg crawling around in the dirt or running through swamps!).

I want some with brownish acceleration stripes on the back-side...

The current modifications are all on a basis, that would allow Standalone to implement all the other changes in the future. I don't think that they looked into those things so far.

But I do agree. running has to be slower.

225m2 is 15x15km. 15km.

usually walking is 3-6km/h; the fastest runner can go 37km/h (for 100m) but at a marathon, everything under 4hours is considered good. so lets say 10km/h as a good running speed.

including encumberance realistic values would be:

walking: 1-6km/h

running: 5-10km/h

sprinting (doubletap w) 15-25km/h for a maximum of 100m with maximum exhaustion afterwards.

so at maximum speed, the 15km eastcoast would take:

walking: 2,5 hours

running: 1,5 hours

A car at 30km/h would make the same distance in 30min; at 150km/h in 6 minutes.

I think sprinting would be necessary to be added then, because you'd need some way to get a distance between you and zombies.

It would also allow to sprint from cover to cover when necessary to avoid being sniped. But it should be so expensive to use, that you would never use it to get somewhere faster. 1-2min shaking, heavy breathing and 3 or 5 minutes until stamina is filled up again, would be the cheapest I'd go.

Looks awesome!

Thing that Im worried about is that the brightness seem to fluctuate annoyingly when you are looking in certain direction etc... same as it does in arma2 now, thats really annoying.

Where'd you see this? Would be cool, just don't remember hearing it.

source? i understood this to be more a concept idea than a real implementation..

No it's been requested on the suggestion forums, but rocket never mentioned itbeing an actual feature. I don't even think it would be possible in terms of performance, and would require so much extra texture the game data might become 40gb or something...

I have an extra terabyte anyways.

great, BUT:

The Sky is way too BLUE.

Please de-saturate it, a little more white, and brighten it up a little.

Also: please not too much of this "blood on piano and floor".

It seems as if nearly every floor next to a door has some blood splatter on it.

That looks pretty amazing, the swamp/buildings/clothes all look great and also adding Utes island just brilliant. Whoever suggested that should get a life time supply of beanZ...

I give it a 2e5v70g.jpg

I just peeked out of my window to check and the sky was indeed blue and quite saturated. Yesterday, it was more of a whitey/grey. The weather will change in the game too meaning that so will the sky. Thanks for reading.
