[3D model] Different Food Qualities (3/29 Update)

Recommended Posts

his name itself is a reference to that god awful little kids show; if you reference his name, you reference the show and shitty memes that nobody outside of 4chan wants to see

Well you better get used to it. This is the internet and people can express themselves however they like. If some one wants to watch "little kid shows" then whats stopping them from doing so. Certainly not another dude on the internet that says its "god awful". I don't watch the show myself but at least I don't complain about it being for "kiddies" and "losers" or whatever dumb insult you can think of.

To be fair, I do see why adding a can saying 'Derpy Hooves' may look a little odd, but taken in context you're probably not going to be able to see the detail on the cans very well (their description would just be canned muffins or something similar).

I have faith in Rocket. He checks the forums. There is no way he has missed this thread!

I noticed Monsieur Lightfoot himself has beans'd Joey's original post... just need R4Z0R to confirm... the suspense... is killing me. :P

Not just his canned foods, your stuff is great as well! :D

Eh, it's amateur-quality or Matt would've replied to my mail ;)

Anyways, dinner time... Thank you Mr. Curry delivery guy.

After that, continue model & texture work on the Vindicator, peek shot:

Terrorviktor: A looking-glass?

PS.: What do you call those rounds of ammo that ignite stuff?

I want those binoculars you "pull out". I have no idea what they are called though. Old pirate binocs! Holy shit that would be fantastic.

EDIT: Btw everything in here looks great.

I wouldn't take it personal. I imagine his inbox was slammed by artists and wannabe artists alike. Then a couple days later it was slammed again by writers and wannabe writers alike. Then the guys who could model military bases or whatnot. Hell, he's probably still filtering through all the emails begging for test keys. I kind of feel bad for his inbox. :)

Incendiary rounds.

Sea scope? Telescoping monocular?

Uhm... yea, wasn't even about artistic stuff but for coding... God, I'd be in the poor house if my salary depended on moving a few pixels around :D Anyways, not taking anything personal. Sometimes things happen, other times not.

And thanks, incendiary rounds ;) That's where I wanna go with the Vindicator, incindiary buckshot pump-action 12-gauge. Anyone know if that stuff exists, or can fill me in on the ballistic characteristics of incendiary rounds?

PS.: Loving the signature... the guy who first told me about DayZ puts on The Life Aquatic everytime we can't settle on a movie to watch :D

Oh man, imagine contracting tetanus from eating old, rusty kitty food.

Love the designs on the cans, they made me laugh. ;)

They definitely exist. Never shot one myself.

At about 1:20 is the first shot. (kind of a showboat round)

Now that's what I'm talking about! Imagine a round of that coming your way! And the stopping power against zeds must be excellent!

*ignorance to gun safety measures on* If he can fit him in his Mossberg, they'll work in a SPAS-12 *off*

Unfortunately, the one I'll be presenting when it's done texturing wouldn't work ingame, 16k polys for all the nice rendering details. Would have to reduce to 2~3k for an ingame weapon, max.

It can be done and I stored the low-detail before I applied smoothing, but it won't be as pretty :D

Prettiness isn't everything, in game it wouldn't be as noticeable. Loving the idea of these rounds going up in the middle of the night in a town or something - would be awesome. :D

I know right? And with the amount of light these produce, if you suspect there's a guy with a NVG in a general direction, just fire a round over there and he'll likely be blinded for a couple of seconds.

FANTASTIC!

One minor thing though. Ultimately it is your choice, but I would prefer standard buckshot. Feels more post-apocalyptic than incendiary. Incendiary ammo could be super rare though, which would really cool too. I guess it doesn't matter that much.

*sigh* texturing the pumpgun is a pain... Maybe I'll just try to fix my Zbrush installation, see if I cant just polypaint in there.... might save me a lot of trouble.

If you're wondering... it has me color-coding the seperate UV shells atm just so I can START texturing...
