Something I see never done that is common sense

When your squad gets wiped, because it happens to the best of us. I never see the most simple thing, hiding bodies. Every person that rolls with me understands that hiding corpses when we know our time is over is #1 priority. Rather them get 1 corpse then 5.

I never see this in squads we have killed, or even larger battles of 10 or so where there is 10 minutes of fighting and plenty of time.

If you are in a squad of 5 guys and getting rolled I doubt your gear is all that great.

In the event I kill someone I feel I am entitled to their worldly possessions and when I die, I never Alt+F4 to prevent someone from getting my stuff. it is part of the game.

What I would suggest is not hiding the bodies if your Last man standing and take a hiding spot in an attempt to kill some of them while they loot.

as a solo survivor. burying ALL corpses i come across and Zs ive killed is job #1..

removing bodies helps me survive both by covering my tracks but also removing any gear that would otherwise be left behind.

i also go 1 step farther by letting my pack eat all weapons i come across..

I generally leave corpses as even when buried they still leave the fly sound, and why deprive anyone even an enemy of goodies? (I may take and hide decent weapons I don't want used against me but I rarely bury em.)

I think the feature should be removed completely. If you want to hide a body then you should have to drag it / lift it somewhere, dump it in a vehicle, not crouch for a few seconds and have it sink into the ground.

No more a dick move than ambushing people for their loot. Hiding player bodies is standard operating procedure for me. Take what I need, let my friends take what they need, and then burn the rest.

I'm all for burying. If I kill some bandit douche and I don't have room or need for his gear, why should I leave it there for him to come get and make it easier for him to take a second pop at me? Fuck that noise. I love that he can hear the flies and not find his stuff.

I'd forgotten about using a full pack to destroy items.... I usually just dump items I don't need in the woods being careful not to leave a trail the gives any clue to my route.

i do the same thing with my backpack when i know i will die..always mess ammo in towns, if you already have a weapon there is no need to leave there that winchester with 30 or 45 bullets..and i found useful to turn around towards doors while looting. hiding bodies comes useful in town too, but if someone wants to do all the route from cherno to berezino to get his g17 back it's not my problem..and server restarts do the rest of the job

Is there a possibility that there is a bug with this feature? Or that some public servers always hide bodies automatically? Yesterday I was playing in a public server and although we could hear flies we didn't find any body, and later my friend and me killed a sniper in self defense with a Lee Enfield and we didn't find the body, but the flies were still there.

If I have a gunfight (usually it's not started by me) and I win I take what I need and then always bury the body. My aim is to set them back as far as I can. I don't want them running back to their body, gearing up and causing me problems later, also, you can't be sure that they don't have friends so if I have decent gear I may camp the area for a bit too in the hope of taking them out as well. My aim is to make them regret opening fire in the first place.

If I have a shootout in Cherno or Electro and it turns out the guy was a fairly fresh spawn and was just taking pot-shots I just leave the body and move on.

Also, if I'm going into a dangerous area for some looting, I just hide what I don't need to risk in a campfire. That way i can come back in half an hour and grab my meds and rare stuff. Hasn't failed me yet.

For me it really depends on the loot, the server population, and the location of the body.

If they have good loot that I either don't need or cannot carry I will bury them. If they have mediocre loot and its a high population server and the body is located in an area that's frequently traveled ill stick around for a little while and use the body as bait (if i'm playing as a bandit).

If one of the members of my group decided to start hiding the bodies of his fellow comrades during a gun fight then that individual would find himself playing by himself and/or looking for a new group to leach off of.. Who the hell abandons there group in the middle of a fight to start hiding bodies. If you are in a gun fight and have the time to hide 2-3 bodies then chances are the enemies dont see you and your time is best spent shooting the blind enemies.

If you are holed up in a house the last thing you want to do is kill zombies.. gun shots = other players are coming to find you.. Escaping houses/buildings without shooting should always be the only choice you have. I can easily escape the high value barracks with 5+ zombies walking down the hall to me.

I'm talking about the north. Small towns that I'm looting for food/drinks/car spawns.

I never shoot unless I have to in places like Elektro and Cherno.

Why do that? IMO, since you got bested by another squad, they deserve the loot and you should not deprive it from them, which leads me to... do not, I repeat, do not put this feature in the standalone, it's stupid.
