Clearing this up: DayZ is NOT years afterwards

Clearly the time frame DayZ is set in makes it evident it's years after the outbreak. But naturally, due to playability, you have to have items (perishables) which are still present. It wouldn't make sense that these items are still around in real life, but this isn't real life. It's just a game.

Buildings are "crapholes"? Chernarus is "basically Afghanistan"? This video begs to differ.

    - fruit was waxed / irradiated - petrol had fuel saver additive added - cereal has preservatives - clothes are poly - paper had time to dry in between getting wet - pixies and fairies were watering the plants
  6. Looks like way too many forum members have given you beans.

Do you guys like the locked doors idea?

Locked doors sound decent in theory, but I can see how they'd end up being abused. People would end up trolling just as they did with barbwire. They'd go in, lock the doors, log out of the server and in to another so they could then leave the building.

Your help with Tents on "dead" servers.

I read this thread as server hopping for a quick gear-up after dying or a quick resupply after battle. I'm absolutely not ragging on anyone as everyone has the right to play the game as they see fit, so there is no "right way" to play. In my opinion it just seems wrong for a fresh spawn to be able to make a bee line from the coast to a specific cord and gear up. Or for a player to use one server to game on and another as their "storage". Being able to have a "stash" takes away from the survival aspect. It means a player can use less caution and not really care as much if they run through supplies or even get killed. They can simply run to their storage and pick right up where they left off. There's no "survival" in that. Again, I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers. I guess I'm just saying that the game would be different if everyone had to survive on what they can carry.

Because the live ones want you to stay and cuddle afterwards.

Major performance issues while using Fraps.

I want to say that your issue is because some games are very cpu-heavy, ArmA being one of them.

And this is why you never go AFK in DayZ kids.

Then where were they pooping? Come on, finish the story. Don't leave us hanging.
  14. Why is there so many little bitches who cry about other people's servers but won't rent their own?
