This new tactic is about several months old, actually. Additionaly, this makes you invisible for thermal sights. And a lot of players are hiding tents in lakes and rocks, be sure to always check them carefully. I've even seen a tent camp in the sea once.

There's also a bug that allows you to hide inside any building undetected (you need a car or a bike for this).

Another tactic is hiding tents in ruins, namely Kumyrna church and some others.

But this doesn't matter much since there are a lot of douchebags with map hacks these days, and this is not going to change soon.
