Yeah but 'the only gift they'll get this year is life' is far catchier than the more accurate 'the only gift they'll get this year is a cure for the infection that is destroying their higher brain functions and turning them into unthinking, rage fueled creatures.'

Also, it's very hard to make that fit the tune of the song... I'm not a musical genius like Westlife or Jedward but I don't see how it can be done...

Yes they know its Christmas but they really want YOU for  Christmas dinner. 

The Question is are Zombies in DayZ undead or not. My opinion is that the answer is Yes and No their cognitive functions and human motivations are indeed DEAD However they are alive enough to support their bodily functions and what is left of their minds.  Another question is, "do zombies shit in their pants or do they remember how to squat and wipe?"
