Akm or blaze 95 as primary?

Hey guys! So im caught in a conflict between which gun to keep for primary. I have an akm with 2 mags but only 40 loose rounds. My blaze 95 has 80 rounds but no scope yet as of now. I wanna know whats ur thoughts on this. Thanks guys!

Go with the akm. In my opinion it's the best of the AK variants and pretty badass. The blaze is a good starter weapon but as soon as you find an ak, Winchester, sks, etc. etc. you'd want to get rid of it. Don't even consider holding on to it.

Do you have firefights often, then go with the akm.

Otherwise I would go with the blaze.

Get the hunting scope and you can snipe people if that's something you like doing.

Ammo should be easier to get for the blaze, too, but I haven't played the latest patch much to really know that.

A lone wolf player living in the woods has no need for an akm.

Like I said it depends on what you are doing in DayZ.

I haven't even seen an AKM this patch.  You're going to die and lose either one any ways, so I'd go with the AKM just because it's fairly rare.  Ammo is actually easy to find in tents.

My personal preference is any weapon that takes the hunting scope. Equipped with a good pistol or SMG as sidearm you have a great weapon combo. 

 

In the end it comes down to what range you prefer engaging people at, obviously the AKM wins at anything below 150 meters, but anything above that the Blaze is your best bet.

AKM ammo is plenty in military areas, at least NWAF. A little server hopping takes care of that.

I love the blaze, powerful rounds, quick, accurate shots. Can take the scope to use for sniping.

I had a fully decked akm with 4 drum mags but traded it for a naked blaze and 80 rounds of ammo with someone I met in game... Ok, so technically I held him up and took his blaze and ammo but I did leave the ak in a near by shed and told him to wait 5 minutes before picking it up (my friend was over watching from a hill to make sure he waited a little while).

I just dislike the akm, recoil is awful, kashtan scope is just bad imo. It's fine if you want to spray and pray but that's not how I play. If I could have any ak it'd be the 101 but I'd still rather the blaze.

Further, you say that you already have a 74U. Why would you need an AKM and a 74U? The AKS-74U can be stored in your backpack, so you can have a Blaze as primary and 74U as a close quarters weapon.

More, why not keep both. Go find a tent.

Keep the AKM. B95s are everywhere, and unless you're a really good shot, you're better off with the spray 'n' pray capabilities of the AKM (even though the recoil is still horrendous...).

AKM isnt good for anything longer than close range atm due to the fact that the AKM's recoil is BEYOND belief bad. More than 2 shots send you completely off target. Meanwhile, the blaze, usually, if you hit the first round, you wont have to hit another. Upper body and up that is.

if you like to run into people and shred them at short distance, AKM, accept no substitute (well, any 5.56 weapon will do the job too, even better sometimes) !

 

if you find a hunting scope, scoped blaze + MP5K/AK74U/UMP45 is the best combo you can have, very VERY effective.

I always use the weapon that i'm most effective with or the weapon that fits what i'm trying to do. You can have 75 rounds but if you can't hit the broad side of a barn with it whats the point.

you said it the question of the best weapon will always be argued its personal opinion but also some weapons are better for certain scenarios.

Weird, just tried it remove and add, worked like charm. Try to drag attachment on weapon and attachments background turns either green or orange (depends is the weapon on your back or hands) and drop. Thats should be it?

I'd go for the blaze. But that is because im a lonewolf and like to snipe around, and scout around cities before engaging with the Hunting Scope, and you have the AKU that could keep in your bag, and is still good for close combat. This is my playstyle and my character has not been killed for over a week, in medium to high populated servers.

You could go for the AKM, but in my opinion it mostly does not matter wether you have a AKM or M4 to keep you alive, its about who detects who first in general.
