Shiva_O 10 Posted August 9, 2015 I've spent hours looking for a Winchester, to no avail. It took me half my life just to find a scope. Anyway, despite that, I have 210 rounds of MP5 ammo :huh: So, I've gotta admit, I decided to do a bit of hopping. I wanted to see how random and bizarre the loot system actually is, and it's surprising to say the least. I hopped into empty servers, and spent most of my time at NWAF and the military base to the south. I did a few Police stations too. In the space of 3 servers, I found 19 Makarovs, all In police stations. Each Station had an average of 3 or 4 Makarovs in, which alone, is unrealistic. None of the tents at NWAF had any loot at all in, with the exception of one tin of tuna. I probably found about 6 MP5's near to trucks and 2 Mosins. I found 0 Mosin Ammo, 0 9mm Ammo, 0 AK Ammo, 0 .45 Ammo and 40 Winchester rounds. Inside the wooden bunker near to the tents was equally as bizarre. In each of the three servers, this bunker had 5 UK DPM vests in, black, khaki and green. Why are there 5 vests in one Place i dont know. One of them had a 6th, a press vest too. After this, came the weird bits. I had a screenshot, but lost it :( Outside a house in Severograd, just a random nothing special house, there was a pile. There were 4 pairs of boots, 3 pistol flashlights, 2 makarov mags, 2 boxes of Shotgun ammo, a CR75 mag, and 2 cans of drink. Just as I came to the end, I made my last stop the military base to the south of NWAF. Here I found a Pink Derringer in one of the barracks. There's a small tiny jail building on the outskirts by the entrance. Here I found another pile.... This time is was UK DPM vests again. But there was only 3. But then I checked them, and these 3 had their own 2 vests in each one. So in fact there were 9 vests just sat by the door of this place. Oh, and another 2 pistol flashlights :huh: Lastly, I found 0 weapons in any of the fire stations, and also of considerable note, every 'solid' building at NWAF and Military bases (jails, barracks etc) were all totally empty, every single time. So, i suppose there's an argument that some of it may have been looted, but i tried to pick servers that looked like they might have had a recent restart. All in all, it's a bit odd and weird, but there you go, that's Dayz. The best thing i found was a mosin, with PU scope, ghille wrap and compensator. I guess this was left by somebody else. Just a shame i've never seen Mosin ammo. I know this is a bit long winded, but meh, I thought i'd share it anyway. What's the strangest loot spawns you've seen? Not to be inflammatory, but perhaps you should have put a little bit more thought into what it was that you were posting. Although strangely my dude has literally everything I could want, but I still have the pants I started out with, I literally haven't found any in the time it has taken to get fully geared with guns ammo and food. (and my personal biggest annoyance) if you are new to all this, you dont know all the best places. yes there are piles. its a bug and its known. yes stuff is random, its also a bug that was a fix to the whole no-food-is-spawning-at-all problem. just wait till you see a the piles at the 'Bathroom' buildings ( i call them guard buildings cause only military loot spawns there) http://i.imgur.com/0dqkAZu.jpgyou literally have to check Every. Single. Building. for stuff, that way you will learn where stuff spawns. use the standalone Map for help.
