Least favorite game features

Recommended Posts

What are your least favorite dayz features? These

can either be features that are broken or incomplete, or they can be features that you think just shouldn't be in the game at all.

Personally, the simplicity of the current medical system is one of my least favorite features in dayz. Have proper medical equipment= Successful treatment. I would hope that eventually, the medical system takes much more hands on interaction, and that recovering from near death experiences takes much longer than it does currently.

And of course the current placeholder zombies. They need, and will receive, a major makeover.

I agree. I cannot wait until more complicated medical treatments (removing of objects, suturing, minor surgery) are needed to survive, rather than just "tie dirty rag around bullethole".

being able to access your backpack while sprinting with a gun in your hands, something i refuse to do out of principle.

The ease of the server hopping exploit, which trickles down into almost every other aspect of the game.

I don't know. Online games have struggled since MUDs to find a way to block players from gaming the system.

If it wasn't server hopping it would be something else.

So you'd rather have the definite exploit of game ruining server hopping because...there could possibly be another exploit instead? Because since your first words to my post were "I don't know"...it doesn't fill the heart with confidence.

Yes, I server hop. But at least I'm not duping!

I noticed that too when trying to find out which direction to go while in the woods. when I finally found a compass I noticed that the sun was all wack. This is how it is in real life, too.

The fact that you can change direction on a sixpence while sprinting flat out without any loss of speed or balance or anything. And the fact that you can run at about 40mph.

Game forcing you to access the backpack when in need to reload your weapon rather than just having a reloading hotkey.

You do realize that the sun IRL doesn't actually set directly in the west and rise in the east? It depends on season.

For example, it is Autumn in-game. This means the sun rises in the southeast and sets in the southwest, assuming Chernarus is (which it is) located in the Northern Hemisphere.

Just to add some verisimilitude.

The current zombie models are only placeholders, but you're right. I hope that there will come a time where you are scared of the zombies and have to act stealthy in order to kill them.

Too many guns. Way too much ammo.

Do you also stop sprinting after a short while due to your character being fatigued out of principle?

I bet he also refuses to use splints to heal broken arms and legs, because principles.

This one, also:

- field of view slider adjustable in-game

- weapon attachment ease of use and effects

- bad desync, characters do the "standalone slide"

- 3rd person

- guns and their magazines no longer spawn together

- scopes all incorrect magnifications

And the fact that you can run at about 40mph.

14.4 mph to be precise.

I do, because you should.

I do, and usually commit suicide, because it is a stupid mechanic.

No, this is a stupid mechanic. What you're suggesting is just silly.

"I refuse to do something in a video game filled with zombies because it isn't realistic!"

Lol.
