Finchtastic 50 Posted October 17, 2014 Because this patch is so pathetically broken for 32 bit users (or so it seems), I quite often find myself looking outside, from the inside of buildings. Luckily, this happened JUST as some guy was coming into the Kamyshovo PS, while I was on the top floor. He found me and tried to knock me out (which wouldn't be too hard, since I couldn't see the inside of the building and where I was going) but was promptly met with a 7.62x51 round to the chest. This has happened a few times with glitching zombies too...As much as I can't wait for the next patch (as the devs have mentioned they think they know what the problem is and hope for it to be fixed next patch), this bug is a friggen lifesaver lol.
One1_ManArmy 5 Posted October 17, 2014 (edited) I also get this glitch quite often, but only during the morning or afternoon in a server. Warned me of a few zombies but never a player yet. Also on a sidenote, I was under the impression that DayZ ran at 32bit for everyone? Task manager indicates the 32bit version running for me on w8.1 64bit Edited October 17, 2014 by One1_ManArmy
umberfive 89 Posted October 17, 2014 I do not understand what's the bug here. Do you mean missing textures?

However, through lots and lots of research into the topic, I've come to my own conclusion that people running 64bit operating systems do not have this problem. It could be completely coincidence, but I've yet to see even ONE single person using x64 have this problem, but every report on this same issue came from people running a 32bit os...It is my own conclusion, I have no proof. Also, I can't minimize my game without it crashing, so I can't look at the manager while DayZ is open, at all.
Finchtastic 50 Posted October 17, 2014 I do not understand what's the bug here. Do you mean missing textures?Yes, the building entirely disappears and only the loot (seemingly floating in mid-air) remains. I can see everything going on outside of the building. If I can find my way out of the building, it reappears when I look at it from outside. Usually I have to relog the server to fix it, as once it comes it doesn't go away. But it only happens when I log in for a minute or so , but it does it everytime I log in , things slowly start to load in but i can see through the damn walls floors and ceiling lol ! I've seen a number of people in buildings next to me when this happens :O
RagedDrew 209 Posted October 18, 2014 Because this patch is so pathetically broken for 32 bit users (or so it seems),Is there another version?
Killawife 599 Posted October 18, 2014 Theres only one version and its the same for 32 bit and 64 bit users and the program doesn't run under 64bit for me at least (win 8.1 64bit). I can usually also see through buildings as I spawn but It goes away almost immediately as the sounds start to play. I have however had a bug where I've spawned stuck in rooms you can't normally get to, usually the bottom floors of two-story houses. Then I can see through the walls of all houses and all teh loot is floating in air. Its useless though as you can't do anything through the walls(I tried). You can get out of the bug by stepping over, crouching, lying down in a corner.

I have the same problem sometimes when logging in.
Finchtastic 50 Posted October 19, 2014 I have that problem when logging in too, but this very quickly goes away...It's pretty much the same type of thing, but it happens randomly throughout gameplay...Also, it seems to happen a lot when I'm running and zoom in to do a quick scan. RiggsUK 69 Posted May 11, 2015 I filed a bug report on this a year ago, (5sec freeze then 5fps and very low textures/models) Still no response or fix. It's happening on DayZ mod now. Also i get memory errors when i have 2gb more than minimum spec, my ram is tested so it must be a memory leak in the code. Are they purposely ignoring it and just expecting everyone to upgrade to 64bit windows?
mercules 1290 Posted May 11, 2015 ...expecting everyone to upgrade to 64bit windows? Why wouldn't you? You don't like having more RAM? You like slow computers? You wouldn't be able to complain about software not running on your outdated OS?
BCBasher 2465 Posted May 11, 2015 How old is your computer? Mines pushing 7 years old and got an x2 CPU out of a water damaged swap meet tower and put win 7 on it. Classic cars and motorbikes are cool but xp isn't going to appreciate in value no matter how long you keep it.
Girth Brooks 570 Posted May 11, 2015 Your old ass OS probably has been part of a botnet since april of last year. So when the forums get DDoS attacked you are partially to blame.
blacklabel79 949 Posted May 11, 2015 (edited) dude even a potato can run a 64 bit system nowadays..wtf. Even with "hand-me -down" parts and a fucked up 10 year old hdd that servs as the OS partition ( and by the way sometime it makes..weired sounds like a hissing sound..its hard to describe really, everything freezes but goes back to normal after like 4 seconds ) you could run a fucking not registered win7 copy. kichilron 8550 Posted May 11, 2015 Are they purposely ignoring it and just expecting everyone to upgrade to 64bit windows? Yes. And how cruel of them that you're using a 32 bit system even though there's not a single reason to do so. Go Upgrade. I don't expect Crysis 3 to run on my Raspberry Pi either.
