Had just killed an elk. My buddy and I took a cheesy "Big Game Hunter" picture with it, and I was promptly shot in the head with a mosin. He made it another few minutes, and he was killed as well.

OH man....running from literally 10 zombies with ONLY a baseball bat...problem was they were glitching through the buildings and hitting me with their backs turned...that is not a winnable position. Yikes this melee system and the zombie pathing needs to be fixed....I know its alpha but it can be sometimes frustrating if you dont have ammo or an axe. Just an unlucky run.

I was a bit like that, wasn't trying to die by running through electro but had same guy for about 4 months. It will happen....when you least expect it, or you will let your guard down. Has the paranoia started to build yet?

 

I eventually died by letting my guard down. I saw something move on NEA....decided it was nothing, then got shot in the back point blank in the prison lol

Yesterday, at a barn house on experimental.  Second floor, drinking a soda....start drinking and suddenly: my arm is in pain, my leg is broken, you are dead.  For the second time in less than a month I died by gliches from second floors.   

 

Moral: Do not open a can of soda in second floors.....it may be dangerous for your health.

I was in transit from the northeast corner to mid-map on a very high-pop server, to try to catch up with a streamer I wanted to run with.  someone opened up with an sks.  he sounded very close but no sign of him anywhere (hacker?).  he fired about 40 rounds and missed with the first 20 or 30.  since I couldn't see him I ducked into cover and took a chance logging out.  and... nope.  dead.

 

but at least he ruined almost everything worth taking from me.

I had a character that I had going for a couple months. Two maybe three months. She lasted a long time! I tend to shy away from most firearms.. I like my trusty axe and Mosin or crossbow---But this time I had been depending on my FNX45 .. I had actually managed to find a magazine for one and fell in love with it's ability to put out lots and lots of accurate close quarters pew pew.

I decided to raid a police station for some more ammo. There was a guy waiting near the stairs with his SKS pointed at me. He fired off two rounds, I fired off YES rounds. He died, but he did manage to break my arm. I heard foot steps outside---presumably his buddies--so I ran out the side of the station and into the woods. Hid behind a tree. Bandaged up. Reloaded the 45. I flanked one pursuer and shot him in the back of the head and ran back into the woods. It had gotten dark and I couldn't see the other guy moving around.. But I could hear him. So I thought what the hell? I laid a flare on the ground and changed positions. To my surprise, he was stupid enough to investigate.. So I shot him in the back. 

I had lost alot of blood and my arm was broken--but I stumbled away alive >.> Exhilarating! I stumbled into the clinic looking for morphine or something to tear into rags and combine with my sticks. But there was already some guy with a moto helmet and an orange backpack looting the place. I yelled for him to get on the ground and he complied---but then I heard the crack of Mosin fire. Now my leg was broken... I now understood why he was so obedient. Before the unknown shooter's bolt action rifle could chamber the next round I unloaded what was left in my pistol into my hostage. GG. But I'm taking your friend with me!

In true DayZ fashion I died in dreadful depressing fashion, much like the entire cast of Reservoir Dogs. You can't ask for better than that! I blame my death on desperation and urgency. I wanted to get into that clinic before someone came to investigate the gunshots as quickly as possible, get some cover and fix my arm. The lack of spacial awareness got me killed. The clinic was a bad move, a move towards a hot zone. I should have fled to the woods and went inland. 

I supposed had I stayed alive I would have continued to do what I'm doing now; looking for new ways to screw with the minds of those stranded in Chernarus. I just would have been better geared!
A fresh start is always nice though.. When it's just me and my axe, reunited.

Trying to shrug off respawning zombies outside Novy Sobor, some dude with a AK turns up and helps me kill them off, then leads me into town where his mates are. We chat, all's friendly, then they handcuff me and start shooting zombies again.

 

Then they fucked off and left me to get beaten to death while I couldn't run away from the respawns.

so I had spawned in this morning on experimental somewhere south of NEAF so I takes a little run through the woods n hills to find the western end of novo. rifle through some apts once I get there and I have a little gear. its been 2 or 3 hours and I haven't seen a soul. I was rather just enjoying the scenery and taking my laid back time about things when I realize I am just down the street from the police station. I go have a casual look. nothing. so I heads off to the clock tower and find a crawling man just inside. give him some morphine for his broke leg and a full map cause hes never seen one before and he says there aint shit up stair so I head off again, leaving the now walking/running man behind.

 

after another hour or so just knocking around different places in novo (that place is really big) I head back to the clock tower with lots of fun chem lights n flares and find that guy again so I tell him whats up and I head up the clock tower dropping chem lights. I get back to the bottom and toss a couple of flares on either side of the front entrance and back off a ways to take some pretty pictures. did mention it was getting dark? after I got a couple of nice pics I realized that the guy was no where to be seen, I guess he wasn't the festive type. anyho, I found one of those little food stands off to one side of the square in front of the clock tower and decide I need a slightly elevated pic or two and I climbs up and take a couple pics. its pretty dark now and I have stuff to around the house so I go to log off and as my finger touches but not presses the esc. key an sks rings out and I see "you are dead"

 

it was fun.

Before that I got lost my ancient M4 because I ran into a guy with an Mp5 and got cocky thinking I'd just spray his whole little team to death.

oh yes, the paranoia is insane at this point for me, panic attacks at every turn seeing something move.

 

 

I was in Elektro once again a few minutes ago, and heard a slurry of gunshots so I hid in a house for at least 20+ minutes until beating feet out and north.

 

Now in the woods alone.

 

I might start a Trading thread to try and give some of my supplies away.

i wanted to scout out novo and got stuck between a pine tree and a stone,then got launched into the air with about the speed of the Euro-Fighter Typhoon, dieing horribly hitting the tower of some castle in the north

I last died from an invisible player with an automatic mosin who followed me through 5 towns before he finally landed the fatal shot.

 

How do I know he was invisible? He kept talking to me (quite clear and loud) saying he was friendly.  :rolleyes:

At NWAF, my mate got gunned down by a guy with tkso pants, olive tac jacket, black hi cap vest, green beret. I wait for him to loot, 2 of them go to the body, wearing the exact same outfit. Even the boots are the same. I fire 2 shots with my AK, both in the head, one dies instantly. The other makes a run for it. I put 3 more rounds into his back, he drops. I flank to the otherside of the barracks. I spot another player (in the exact same outfit as the other two - what a coincidence). I put the rest of my AK mag into him from 10 feet, he doesn't die, he returns fire. I reload and go back inside the wall and put another 3 rounds into him, he goes down. I turn around and take rounds from another player standing inside a tree, tkso pants, olive tac jacket, black hi cap vest, green beret. (Do you see the pattern here?). I pump an AK mag into the tree, I see multiple blood impacts. He runs out of the tree firing at me, breaks my legs. I reload on the ground and assume the crouching stance. I fire 3 or 4 bursts at him as he runs straight towards me at around 20 feet. He isn't going down. In fact he's pulling out his axe. He swings it at me. I die. Such a well made game.
