Seriously, add a restart button, I can't even play DayZ anymore

I know many of you are going to throw in countless excuses such as I can starve to death, its or the game isn't finished. Adding in a reset button is probably the easiest thing to add and it would only take about 10 - 15 minutes to add. Today when I was playing, my game crashed as usual. When I restarted the game, I was spawned in a large grassy field of hills. It has been 3 hours and I still have yet starved to death, or discover a way out.This is just out of hand. I can't even play my game because a simple suicide button just wasn't fucking added to the game. I have read posts that were added years ago talking about how a suicide option should be available soon. Well, it isn't and I can't play my game because my character just doesn't want to starve to death. Yes, DayZ is a fun game and I understand that it is not a finished game, but seriously, a suicide option is painfully easy and simple to add, but it still isn't here. I think this is just ridiculous.

Well seeing how pretty much all the spawns are near a city or small town, it shouldn't be all that hard to find one instead of screaming on the forums like a 2 year old because your lost. Heres a novel idea, figure out which way the sun is setting, then run the opposite direction and would you look at that, you found the coast. Congratulations, now run either way on the coast tell you hit a city.

You don't understand. When I spawned in the field, I still had all my gear. The field i'm guessing is close to the world boarder. No, it's not near the MAP border. When I spawned, I opened my compass and each step I took, my compass went crazy. I am so far off the map it would take hours on end just to reach a city. I am not lost, DayZ glitched and I am stuck far away, and I can not die of anything. This game is fucking unplayable

We feel your pain. Having spawns near high loot areas is the only way to go. I hear in the next patch, you will spawn with an M4 with 60 round mags, and you won't even have to press the fire button to shoot. It will be mind control. That's right, telekinesis. It's about to get real up in here.

I believe they removed the suicide option because of people abusing it to get a "better spawn". Which was the first thing I thought of when I read "large grassy field of hills". But I think you might have run off the map. The idea above might help you. Basically running south-east should bring you back to Chernarus eventually.

Are you kidding me? They're so stupid to remove a suicide button? Then how about this, when you spawn on a server, that is your permanent spawn location until you legitimately die. When you commit suicide, you spawn back into your original spawn location.

The respawn button is a bigger problem and makes the game worse.

 

Simply put one persons suffering is worth it if it means it keeps gameplay elements alive such as blowing out a survivors knee cap then forcing to to crawl for hours before he can finally play again.

Read my other post, add in a suicide option but instead of a random spawn location, you are confined to a certain spawn location until you are legitimately killed

No Screenshot, no proof. Yet the OP has a point. What if the Game really screws up? I think there should be a possibility to opt out even without the help of the devs. But there should be some kind of penalty because it is a survival game.

You are somewhere to the north or west, this happened all the time in the mod, find your bearings, point in the right direction and your character will eventually run out... or run out of life. If you just stand still it will take 2-1/2 times longer to die.

Or check out what other players say on the "I can't suicide", "broken leg" or "I am lost' threads.
