Are they actually going to be adding in the explosive death penalties from ppl not throwing there grenades at the right times blowing them to bits?

0.46 is not that of a big update mainly just small stuff and an extra anti-cheat system.

The"extra anti-cheat system" cant be considered a small feature if stop the cheaters  that can Tele-steal your gear. ( Faith mode ON).

And in MB is around 700 , because the map changes. Bigger Novo, new town and new NE Airfield etc...

WW2? They would have figured out the right time for fuses by then (had a few problems in ww1) which was probably about 4secs. 1 sec flight time...

Dug a hole, put a live grenade in, filled it, boom in under 3 secs? unlikely. If he already had a hole dug and the grenade landed in it he could of had enough time to put a few shovels worth of dirt on one (or a wheel barrow if one was full near by).

SOP for Japanese bunkers and firing positions in WW2 was to dig a small somewhat deep hole in about the middle of the 'room' to collect rain water as well as to kick grenades or toss 'hot' shells into (where the primer was impacted but the round did not explode) into.  Sometimes they would even have a trench in the back near the entrance so that if someone snuck up behind their position and tossed in a grenade it would (hopefully) roll into the trench and blow up (mostly) harmlessly.

Didn't realize that .46 was going to be a 'mini' update.  Guess they all can't include the big things like hunting.  Oh well, looking forward to having a grenade on me for anti bandit purposes.  Just hope I can pull the pin and drop the grenade.  Speaking of which, whatever did happen to the MP5(K), thought it was suppose to be in .45?

Maybe they are adding a crap tone of attachments for it like what the M4A1 has.

If 0.46 include grenades i hope get a proper explosion, because now is the gas station one.

Such quick updates!!! :D

I like this. Cant wait to throw a grenade in the ATC tower to get rid of those campers.

Has the throwing been fixed in 0.46 ?

A nade in mid air in slow-mo would be rather unsettling, no?

Would be nice, might not be too realistic, but if it started as the 'sawn off' MP5K and you could put on the 'normal' barrel and attachments that would be okay by me.

I'd love to see a 200m maim grenade.  I'd also like to have an arm 5x what Peyton Manning has, but somehow, I think that I'd end up killing everyone in my group, and everyone else in the airfield with that kind of explosive power.  10-15m max kill radius, and may 20-30 minor injury to scratches.  After that, it's be like getting shot with Bird shot from 30m.  It might sting a little.

if a grenade kills at 200 meters of range, who would throw one in open terrain?

i highly doubt you can throw something further than 200 meters... xD

sure, some offensive shrapnel grenades could potentially hit your head with a nasty piece of metal, but thats very unlikely

I'm pretty sure the dude who said that mixed a hand thrown grenade with an artillery piece.

Nobody would, they are called 'defensive grenades' for a reason, you supposed to throw it from a defended position like a trench. Throw it and hunker down. They can be typically thrown 30-40 meters. And they don't kill at 200 m range. 200 m is what considered a safe distance, meaning you can stand in an open field unprotected 200 m away from the explosion and not get hurt.

Someone (not the person you quoted) made the claim that grenades have a 200m maim zone.  Many stood up to correct him, but he just doubled down with insults, insinuating that they had no real world experience and got their info from wikipedia, while at the same time saying something like 'it's been reported that German grenades had maiming ranges of 200m', which I'm kinda curious as to where he got that 'fact' if not from Wikipedia or some other online source.  Shit escalated and I believe him and a couple others received temp posting bans...(or if he hasn't he's wised up as a troll and stopped posting) and that sums up the drama.  I would like to think he confused feet with meters, but even then that still leaves about 155 'meters' unaccounted for.

Coal miner has been around the block.

offensive and defensive hand grenades have different templates for safety. Some grenade systems just have a sleeve that goes over the offensive grenade that has larger chunks of metal to form a defensive grenade.

But most modern grenades we see are offensive grenades,  I saw a guy get hit in the chest on a poorly run grenade range from probably 30 meters, it went through his brit cam jacket, through his jacket liner and stopped in his tee shirt. scorched him though..

A weapon more capable then that would be way to hard to use in normal modern combat, we are not lined up in trench lines anymore typically.

Anyone here ever thrown a V70 grenade? They were the size of a golf ball. You could put a dozen in a big combat pocket, but hard as hell to pull and throw because they were so small.
