russian accent players the worst ?

i am more of a talk before shootin guy...

but i made some observations lately (even on experimental hardcore, where u dont expect kos to be this common)

every Player that i come across, which has russian Accent, is trying to shoot me when he sees me.

 

at first they say things like "friendly" in this damn russian Accent! only to shoot you afterwards when u wave your Hand and do the Q-E wiggle Dance!

 

it happened too often now.  is this some russian mentality Thing! do they think of themself as a master race?   FCK RUSSIAN PRIDE

also my friend got killed as a freshspawn by a russian Player only because he was palying a black character!?   WHAT THE .. ?

and if they jump on the conversation you clearly can hear, those Players are overwhelmed by the sweet english language i roll out!  (mostly i greet them with my warm clear Porno voice, if ladies hear it, they get wet)

saying things like: "greetings weary traveler! what has you brought to These dangerous lands"

i m not that good in english language, as ist not my native language. but These Players are even worse!

 

is english tought in eastern european Schools ?

I'm Polish, and although I usually kill armed players when there is no option to hide or run away - I learned long time ago that talking does not get you far - I decided to help a freshspawn a couple of days ago.

 

When I hid my weapon and was opening a can of peaches for him in my inventory, he quickly ran up to me and punched me in the face. I fell unconscious (was fully geared too).

 

At first I was furious that I allowed for this unfathomably lame death of my avatar, but when the guy said: "I'm sorry but your accent sounded funny and I couldn't take any chances with you. I'm not actually racist in real life, but you know Russians in DayZ..." I just started laughing. XD

Accents can say a lot about the player.

From my own experiences:

• Ruskies will cuss you and KoS you.
• Generic UK, Irish, Scottish and American accents are usually on the fence.
• South African accents will double cross you. Met one and he shot my friend when I wasn't looking.
• Anyone who is a squeaker will try and kill you.
• Southern American accents are usually trustworthy. (Like me!)
• Anyone who tries their best to sound creepy will kill you.
• Girls will usually expect special treatmeant. Kill them.

          Edit:

• Any angsty teen that yells "Allahuackbar" repeatedly is a cunt and needs to die.
• Anyone, regardless of accent who decides to make fun of your accent will either kill you or needs to be killed.

 

There's a whole bunch of other accents but sometimes it's real thick and hard to immediately pin point. So I only included the ones I've met and how the majority acted.

Well, I'm Russian and I play on EU servers. And I am more of the friendly mentality. I do not KoS, I do not abuse or harass other players. And I prefer talking to shooting. This usually will get me killed before I can do anything, but this is how I roll. I just feel bad killing other players.
Yes, I do know this stories about those pesky Russians but I can not advocate for or against them. I think I have played on RU servers just twice. It's just more fun playing with people from all other Europe. It's the diversity thing.
But anyway, hear me out. I think that I have some kind of explanation for this. When you're killed by a person with unaccented english you think: hey, it's just another bandit. But when you're killed by person with eastern-european accent it's always those damn Russians. And frankly speaking, if my English is good and accent is nearly non-existent (I don't say that about myself, just a figure of speech) how could you tell that I am Russian? I can kill you and you would think that yes, it's another bandit, or I can help you and we will travel together, but you won't know from where I am from. But if my english is bad and accent is heavy, then it can lead to a situation like the one that Retro19 posted up higher: "I'm sorry but your accent sounded funny and I couldn't take any chances with you. I'm not actually racist in real life, but you know Russians in DayZ..."

Once again I'm no advocate for other people actions and it doesn't matter for me if they are Russians or not. But I think that Friendly/Bandit mentality is based more on a gear of a player. Just watch this fine video by Wobo ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xd1fGLfR3jk ). It also features players from Belarus. And I'm sure that if most of you met them ingame, you'd call them Russians, but they are not. They are also friendly to player.

To end this post on a more positive note, here is a fun story. I play in a group with people from Slovakia, UK and China. And I have been killed by Slovakian dude because he mistaken me for a bandit when we were at NWAF. And I also have been killed by UK dude because he mistaken me for a zombie (not really, he wanted to help me out, but missed and shoot me instead of zombie). So who is the worst now? Surely not a guy from China, 'cos he haven't killed me yet  ;) .

also when you meet "russians" they are often NOT - they may be players from ex soviet countries
in which case they fight russians more than anyone else, and they don't like being mistaken for Rus.

so a useful conversation is:
- are you Rus ?
- not Rus. I am Ukraine
- Good. I fight Rus!  I like Ukraine!

if you get this far you stand a fair chance of staying alive and even making a friend

- ja ne Bandit (..guess everyone understands that)

No offence man. I understand how it is tiring to get killed every time when you try to approach a person when all you wanna do is try to find out if he is friendly or not. Been there myself so many times. And once again I'm no advocate for Russians or whatever.

so I like many others here have had more or less wretched experiences with "Russian" accents (not really sure if Russian or not but they sure sound like it). the most memorable was once on experimental I had spawned at berezino and booked it off to the construction site where I met some guy that sounded like he was from the US Midwest. he was starving and I had just spawned so I was more or less starving too so after managing to loot the construction site with our lives and meager gear intact we still needed food so I tell him about a house not far that usually is unlooted and had a lot of food (granma's house near the orchard). we get there and all doors are closed and no one is in sight so we start looting. I went into a green house looking for meds or better clothes and when I come back out I see my friend come running around the corner of another house. my "friend" runs right up to me and starts punching - wtf! - I went down in a hit or two so I start talking "dude, dafuq?!?!" then he responds.... very think Russian accent says "hurry up and die, I want your stuff." apparently he killed my friend and took his gear so he was my friends clone except the accent.

so fuck em and feed em fish heads.

 

yes I will shoot you if you have a Russian accent and I don't care if you think its racists or whatever.
