Decreased interest in the game?

Recommended Posts

It sure seems like there is a decreased interest in the standalone game here over the past few months. Even with patches and content it seems like there are less people posting on Forums/reddit and less people in games. Has everyone moved onto the Mod or just to other games?

I remember the beginning of this spring semester i was so ready for elder scrolls online but the wait kind of ruined me. Maybe some people are done waiting for BIG content. Go ahead, explain its in alfer.

People complain when there is too much "hype" and then complain when there's too little (not you, particularly).

Further proving that "hype" is a completely player-derived concept, used almost solely as a straw-man punching bag to sideline discussions of merit.

Even if there is "decreased interest," sounds good to me... maybe it'll clear out the clown car and leave us with a more serious/informed community.

But yeah, I'm confused as to whether you're talking about the mod or standalone, or both.

Edit: I meant Mod.

I am talking about a decreased interest in the Standalone.

Updates 1 time in a month or two, of course there is some decreased interest. Just look on some Youtube videos about the new patch, man I'm so excited for it.

I'm pacing myself, I played a whole lot of the mod in 2012-13, I'm keeping up with the updates and playing other games too.

The development of the standalone reminds me of the mod and development is always slower than your own patience, so you have to manage your own expectations to avoid major disappointments. No matter how much I enjoy both the mod and standalone, I know, I've been playing on Chernarus for a long time and risk getting burned out, if I keep the same hours as when the mod was fresh.

I lost interest in the past month, but I will start again when we have cooking, hunting and campfires on stable.

This is, without a doubt, the most boring content that has been added. How will this keep you occupied for more than an hour?

Even when they add vehicles (if that is fun for you) I wouldn't find occupation for more than two hours lol. It's only a game, plus I don't get bored THAT fast.

I was thinking more about barricading buildings, growing a garden, taking care of my dog. The, when modding support is added, I will write an "RPG" mission.

Weird, in my opinion this patch currently on experimental, is one of the best so far (once they fix "teleporting" back).

Can't wait for it to be fixed and deployed on stable!

The only good thing about it is that no more boring features from the roadmap that can be added because all of those are already in-game. From here on out it will be awesome things and performance fixes.

Lets not get off track and bash the content that is being added. We are in alpha. Things will get removed and added plenty of times before everything is said and done.

Boneboys, i appreciate that data. Very interesting stuff.

Although Average players has dropped significantly, we still see those spikes of peak players which leaves me to believe that there are a lot of people waiting for features.

I am more concerned about the community of the game. Its not as bad as BattleZ Terminix Diaries but maybe some of you guys need to learn a little patience. I mean I've been waiting since 2009 for fallout 4. Patience young Padawan.
