Spawning God-Mode

Just a quick idea that I had after I had a bad experience.

 

I think that we should have at least a 5 second god mode for when you're logging in.

 

It might seem crazy, but after what happened, I think it could work.

 

What happened to me:

 

I was playing on a Hardcore server and got myself some good gear, later on, I had to log off, so I did. Today a logged in again and I got shot while my screen was black, I did not expect that because I logged off in a tree on top of a hill, and the guy had a Mosin with a scope, so yeah.

 

The thing is: I got shot while my screen was black and fading in, and when my game loads, it lags for a bit and then it goes back to 40fps.

 

When I logged in, he saw me and shot me. He didn't kill me right away, but he broke my legs, I tried to hide behind a tree but I died.

 

I had no chance to defend myself or even try, I was lagging and couldn't see, that was completely unfair.

 

So maybe a quick God Mode when logging in?

Nope, just fix the logging, because imagine - you played more then 30 minutes, then your team have fight, you log of, go on other server, walk where they sit(just behind them)get back in ~150 secs = 2~3 minutes, and rape them behind, because you immortal god and you playing on server with no such trouble that you are told about.

P.S. Bad luck brian, or you logged out in sniper position which one means on hight pop servers it's visited by a lot of ppl.

P.P.S.Try to hide better ,sometimes for you it's seems you hided good, but from other angle - it's easy to spot you. so use 3d person and rotate mouse and try to imagine where ppl can be so they could not see you

Dayz is full of bugs, i would bet that 1/100 of people would have their god mode permanently :P

This will likely be fixed down the road so that you either don't appear until fully spawned, or can instantly see and move when you spawn. I got killed the other day when I logged in because there was a zombie standing right next to me, and by the time I could react, I was pretty much dead already. All I had time to do was turn and look at the zombie, and then black screen telling me I'm dead.

I still think they should force you to need to sit down before log out delaying the speed of logging out. You would load back in the same way making you a smaller and harder to see object, specially if you pick a safer area to log out at.

The thing about that is that you shouldn't log off in areas where people are likely to kill you almost immediately.

 

It's also currently being worked on, that your character won't appear before you are actually in control of it - but that's one of the issues with the serverperformance.

After 400 hours of gameplay i've never killed while i was loggin in so, do what i do: logout in safe buildings away from cities and at the 2nd floor if you can (away from windows) the wooden houses are also pretty good cause they are mostly empty and no one come inside.
