I like KOS and i do it often. It is not a problem to me buu it seems so for a large majority

I can't say that im not guilty of KoS, but I have stopped doing it simply because being part of the issue doesn't help fix it. The other day I was playing, I was at the NE airfield and saw someone up in the tower, I was on the ground near the door, we both had loaded mosins and he said: "im friendly, im friendly," put up his hand and wavd to me. I put up my hand and waved, told him I was friendly. Then he put his hand down and shot and killed me. Then he ran down to my body while I could still hear him and said "HA! Faggot!". I don't understand that point of it. lol

 

So this is why, in a couple of weeks or so. I will be buying my own server to run as a strictly roleplaying server for anyone who wishes to play with some tact, and for some good role play fun. I will make another post about it in the future with the details once I get everything going, for those who wish that sort of play style.

But that's not being KOS'ed, that's just be killed, KOSing by definition of the words is being killed by someone on their first sight, as in turning round a corner and then seeing someone and spraying, if they see you but don't shoot straight away but instead kill you later, it's just called being killed.

But either way it's not a problem, if I didn't want to be KOSed I wouldn't play like the average player go dislikes KOSing, e.g completely blind and let's players get up to them!

Did you get his name I need to add him to my friends list so I can play with him? I'll tell you what I tell everyone who thinks it's a good idea to run around screaming IMA FRIEDNLY!!!1!

 

Try actually interacting like a human next time instead of FRIENDBOT 3000 who is programmed to play the message "BRRZZZTTT BUT I SAID I AM A FRIENDLY BRRZTTTZT OVER BEEEEP" when it detects gunfire.

 

 

 

 

Also good luck with your server I'll be first in line reporting it for violating the ToS for server hosting.

Wanna know why there's KoS? Two main reasons:

1. There's fucking guns in the game.
2. People bitch about it so much.

I voted for what people do rather than what I do. People have guns, not a lot of zombies, people want to use the guns. Others complain about it, so people do it more. If nobody complained about KOS people would do it less. It would still exist, but it would occur less often. 

 

I never KOS, as I feel people who do so are completely missing the point of DayZ, but I don't complain about it. I know it happens, and it happens to me every now and again, but I won't resort to it. I won't complain about it either because it won't solve anything. I can just steam to myself whenever I get KOSed, quit the game for ten minutes, then get over it and play the game again.

Because KOS is the easiest play style. People think they need to "win" to enjoy this game. They don't see how awesome it can be to team up with someone who they can't trust and does not trust them. Always watching their back in case of a backatab. That is tension. Hours of tension. Hours of a game worth playing.

Instead they hang on the coast looking for players to kill. Easy cheap thrills.

It's like, "why would I put in all of this work for a girlfriend to fuck when I can just run home and masterbate when dick twitches in my shorts?"

Why? Because sex is awesome. It takes more work to get it, and sometimes you fail and are shot down. But those failures make success that much sweeter.

Defending KOS is like patronizing the guys trying to get laid instead of watching porn all day....
