Katana67 2907 Posted May 25, 2014 The DMR, as rendered in DayZ mod, had issues. It doesn't mean that all designated marksman rifles are inherently and perpetually "on easy mode."
hotcakes 348 Posted May 25, 2014 That are rendered useless due to the FOV increasing magnification thus rendering the ability to accurately range impossible. If you set your config file to read-only, the FoV resets whenever you press Esc > Configure. You can also use an FoV macro.
FrostDMG 398 Posted May 25, 2014 (edited) Wow. So many people can't spell G-H-I-L-L-I-E. People calling it "gullie" need a permaban. On topic, crafted ghillie isn't a bad idea, would be pretty awesome actually. Rangefinders aren't needed imo. People need to learn to use the map... ;) Edited May 25, 2014 by FrostDMG
#Gt MoO 4 Posted August 7, 2014 crafable ghillie suit: absolutly. If you have to do it over and over again, because it gets ruined realy fast. Rangefinder: Hell no! Im highly oposed to this hitec crap, as a sniper you should read the leaves and be one with your gun and what not. Says a bloody noob. :) But seriusly, I would prefer a different way to get your shots to hit. And isent there already a scope with a scale in it?
foxdie_01 121 Posted August 7, 2014 Well done on using the search tool. But you resurrected this post to post that?
Friendly ffs 3 Posted September 24, 2014 i was hoping this would be a nice example since the ghille cant be equiped with the backpack then this would be a nice thing so you could choose :)https://www.google.se/search?q=camo+bag&biw=1920&bih=979&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=_XoiVJafBInmywPP44CwCQ&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ#tbm=isch&q=backpack+camo+net&facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=DFK_yBVDXZX6TM%253A%3BS6qoB0KfiSopGM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Ftheeagercamper.net%252Fimages%252F1095720930_4238757135_full.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Ftheeagercamper.net%252FBackpacks%252Fc3%252Findex.html%3B360%3B480
Bad Company 140 Posted September 24, 2014 I am wondering when these items will be able to use in-game ? BE NOT OF WORRY маленький другI HAVE SOLUTION TO PROBLEM OF WHICH YOU SPEAK NOT ABLE TO SHOOT GUN AND HIT TARGET? TAKE GUN AND GO PRACTICEDEFEATED BY SEPERATISTS IN THE HILLSIDE? harteman 155 Posted September 24, 2014 I rangefind by using a map that allows me to set waypoints. Binos should have built in rangefinders.
Jex 1104 Posted September 24, 2014 You know what would be nice? Server hive options where you can change what drops and how rare everything is. Nope. This just paves the way for "500+ cars and Barracks" servers, just what ruined the mod in fact.

coltonlong 211 Posted September 24, 2014 The way I see it, you should have to make a suit piece by piece. I made a top for a ghillie one. Took me a week of sewing, and the color was on a dark brown jacket with the burlap being a few shades of lighter brown. Looked like shit, but it was fun for air soft. Bororm 1156 Posted September 24, 2014 This thread is too long. People know they confirmed a "ghillie suit" top right? They're calling it a bush rag I think. It's torso only and will be crafted. There will also be a separate head piece. You won't be able to use a backpack with it. These things are confirmed in the last dev stream. My personal speculation is that it would use the vest slot. As for range finders, they're in the files and being developed as well. In one of the latest status reports it was on the list of things being worked on. Sorry if this has been said, but 13 pages is too long to read through and the little I checked seemed like a bunch of speculation of whether these things were even going to be implemented. Elvis 22222222 31 Posted September 25, 2014 Don't make one if you don't need one? There need to be limitations on the military aspect, we are supposed to survive, not to thrive.
-Gews- 7443 Posted September 25, 2014 Rangefinder: Hell no! Im highly oposed to this hitec crap, as a sniper you should read the leaves and be one with your gun and what not. But it just so happens all hunting, golf and other outdoor shops and online retailers sell a variety of rangefinders for all price brackets. Thing is in real life cheaper rangefinders may only range things to 300 or 400 yards. Bushnell says their cheap Yardage Pro Sport 450 is only good to 200 yards on deer. Binos should have built in rangefinders. 1940s Soviet binoculars don't do that (binoculars in general don't do that).
gibonez 3633 Posted September 25, 2014 1940s Soviet binoculars don't do that (binoculars in general don't do that). I am hoping he ment a built in ranging reticle and not a range finder.

dirrly 70 Posted September 26, 2014 Would it be the southern part of germany instead of cheranrus, you could find a lot ghillie suits... LOL :D (it's a carnival costume of the traditional south german carnival ^^)
gannon46 788 Posted September 26, 2014 I hope never xD however, I see the "need" for a ghillie suit. But make it rare/hard to craft. Rangefinder? Nahman, only sniper-wannabies use this ;)I agree with this cat we should have to make the ghille ourselves from materials we find like burlap and the shrubbery or by cutting different colored clothing.and as for range finders I can take or leave them, I usually get down how many meters something is away and if you set up a kill zone say as if your camping a town by setting up distance landmarks you really don't need them, but in the end it doesn't matter to me different strokes different folks. gibonez 3633 Posted September 26, 2014 I like the approach that standalone will probably take towards ghillies. Either you put the ghillie on and restrict storage space aka no backpack and stuck with only limited slots in your pants and the ghilli. Or you don't craft a ghillie and take the inventory.
