Keeping it dapper in the countryside

Recommended Posts

Streamlined myself back down to the basics on third person, and i must say, it feels good. You don't need to be a barracks rat/coast humper to enjoy play either.

No, it does not belong in gallery, it belongs in a museum!

Heh, my character is very similar. Grey jeans, green wool jacket, grey flat cap and boots. Don't even have a bag - couldn't find a burlap sack. Got a Mosin instead of a shotgun, though.

Booya, lovin' me some flat caps.

My current non-'military' guy:

Normally wear the black check wool coat+flat cap but died on that guy

I can't wait till they tweak the loot so that outfits like this will be more common by comparison to the tactical gear (which I like).

I'm dressed like a high-speed-low-drag operator before I find decent civilian clothes.

I also have a non-military character. He's set up on Hardcore :)

I'm trying to go for the looter look, and I'm failing at finding a crowbar. :c

I love going low profile. It doesn't necessarily mean non-military, either, just not carrying a bunch of useless nonsense that you don't need. It isn't necessary to carry around a mountain pack full of food and ammo unless you plan to sit in the woods shooting into the air for days on end.

The countryside does require that one be as dapper as possible.

Like the look, I'm currently dressed similarly. I also have a gun-holster on my chest as it does add a lot more protection without looking too obtrusive.

I almost always go low-drag. I prefer the improvised backpack over most other packs anyway. And mil-spec gear only makes you look more like a bandit.

I always go minimalist/low-drag too. Never stopped me from ganking smaller teams decked out in mil-gear. It's what you do with what you have gents.

I've got an urban looter thing going on with my gal Sharonda... she has been quite lucky so far killing Zeds.

I lost count, but its been many, many sent back to their judgement day.

Before I got shot in the chest and most of my stuff ruined, I was running with this. Little more mismatched now, though.

I have a question: why are there no belt holsters for a sidearm? I just want to be able to carry a revolver on my hip!  :(

You should put that in the ideas section.. add leg holsters, etc.. would be great. Maybe even a hidden boot holster

Well I say OP you look a right proper rural English gentleman going out to chop some lumber while there is a rabid fox about.

Please post Gear in the "Post Your Gear So Far" thread in the Gallery forum, as I'm getting reports about stuff being in the wrong place and I don't like having to move threads.

Thread closed.
