pillock 850 Posted June 15, 2014 Given that there is no cutlery in DayZ yet , except for kitchen knives, how are you supposed to eat something like stew? With a shovel? And no, you can't just drink it straight from the cooking pot - you'd burn your face off.
conan the librarian 99 Posted June 15, 2014 *edit: With the shortly to be released hunting and cooking features i thought it be appropriate to bump this thread As a young single adult male who lives on his own and regularly cooks his own meals i would like some variety in the available cuisine of DayZ. Surely it would be normal for survivors to combine different food ingredient items to prepare various types of dishes. Maybe we could have wild vegetable growing around the country for harvesting like in skyrim? then crafting that together at a fireplace with meat you hunted makes for a nice feast you can share with friends. Corned beef hash - a tin of beans, a potatoe and a slab of fresh cow..

Or whittle a "spoon" from a stick. It's really not that hard. ;)

Deathlove 2286 Posted September 4, 2014 Soups I can see but sandwiches? Where are you gonna find non moldy bread? :PProbably gotta make some with a grind wheel and an oven. I could see an improvised baking oven being crafted and even a grind wheel stone to make flower with. With the Horticulture coming out i can see vegetables, fruits and even grains being planted as crops.

Irish. 4886 Posted September 19, 2014 Please add in BBQ Ribs and perhaps pulled pork to dayz cooking. That way I can open my Rib Shack in Vybor.. it may be a long drive/walk but its worth it! Mention this ad for a free cornbread :) Due to recent shortages in Cornmeal, caused by the hostile kidnapping of the largest cornmeal supplier in the world by the terrorist group ISIS, we are no longer offering free cornbread if you mention our previous ad.. In fact, we are out of cornbread. :( Thank you.
