DayZ feels American

The whole world will be American within a century, or at least Americanised.

 

I would disagree, even though that seems to go against my previous comment. The backlash is well under way from the proliferation of Americanisation. The USA is the most hated country in the world, outside of the USA of course. No insult intended to our "American cousins" but anyone that has travelled will have seen this first hand. It's a weird juxtapose where you have people who wish for American culture yet hate the nation that generated it.

they put bow and arrow? have some in the house and maybe have sport shop also here is baseball bat etc

now I find every day maybe 20 and each time I love game tiny bit less :(

Yep,loot placing and ratio is preety important gameplay-wise.

But concerning firearms,above half of the currently armed population have their arms made in USA.

After all,it's what they do best...when a new child is borned in the USA,instead of a pacifier it is given a 9mm pistol. xD

So botomline is,have all the weapons.Russian-American-Chineese-etc etc and diferent variants.

I would prefer the G3 in place of the M4 though.

First, I haven't noticed much of an advertising done by Bohemia Interactive.

Second, this game is made for fans of zombie apocalypse in general and since it is situated in the fictional post-soviet country modeled based on Czech republic, it really does not make sence to americanise it.

 

Still it is alpha, so I hope that later we get all these AK's, Dragunovs and other eastern weaponry and that M4's, Magnums and other will be noticeably more rare.

 

EDIT: Part of DayZ mod's charm was it's eastern setting, it should transfer to Standalone as well.

Are you telling me that after the events of Harvest Red, the Chernarussian government cleared all signs of combat in the country, perfectly restored the bombed house in Khelm to its previous state, and meticilously cleared all the camps and FOB's to such a degree that you won't even find an empty cola can in the American FOB-site, while at the same time confiscating all American equipment and randomly spreading it out on the floor of the CDF barracks?

The US has done some pretty shady things over the years, but so has every other 'civilised' nation in history. I don't hate Americans because of the actions of a moronic cowboy.

 

We live in turbulent times, the façade the west generates will eventually be lifted and people will wake up to the chaos that the world is in.

Which isn't really borne out any more. In the 50's and 60's fine. Everyone else was absolutely shafted because of the war, America lost soldiers, yes, and I don't mean to belittle their sacrifice, but they never suffered a mainland conflict and the costs attributed. Now though, the relevant wealth of the average Joe Schmoe on the street is no greater, and in many cases less than, many equivalent nations.

There seems to be more and more items in the game that resemble American culture or history.

 

Well, who is to say that the Americans didn't rush to help stop the Zombies from escaping that country?  Sure there would be plenty of US weapons because the USA would obviously send troops to destroy a threat to it's existence.  It would be very likely that people from all over the world would have rushed there to try and stop it.  There should actually be more weapons from various countries in my opinion.

Harnessed electricity, but yeah.  And the internet was created in Stanford (An American University) as other credits have similar local network communications in Sweden I think and in use by the US Military before, but that could just be lies.  Not an Englishman, however. fkn British and your terrible food. 

 

Also, the PC first was invented by Italians!  I know, right?  NASA used them for the Apollo 11 landing.  But yes, we americans like ourselves.
