kichilron 8550 Posted March 9, 2014 Afternoon everyone, I am very surprised I have not seen this on these very forums yet, but it seems that the Billy May's Remembrance Foundation has shut down absolutely everything. Even their website is gone, which is why the only thing left is this: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/bmrfservers#announcements/detail/1657628133398576036 For a bit of background: BMRF was a huge community providing a lot of different servers, all whitelisted and all supported quite well over a very long time. I personally have never experienced any problems with them, there were a lot of active Admins online at almost any time and the variety of servers they were providing was just insane.At the time it was a massive community providing the full experience hosting almost any mod that was worth playing. Even though I did not play on their servers much other than DayZero (because they sadly never figured out the serversidefix for the "Signaturecheck timed out"-kick) it is a shame to see it go. enforcer1975 1111 Posted March 9, 2014 Seems they got full of theirselves judging by the first sentences.I kind of like this...it keeps abusive elements out of the game and keeps the SA community in one piece because nobody can modify anything for the time beeing. I hope when it's possible it will just be content and not the mission or difficulty ( other than raising it which i don#t have a problem with ). I never really went on their servers though, so this hasn't make a huge difference to me…although i saw tonnes of people play on them. What does "The Billy Mays remembrance foundation" mean? is it honestly a tribute to someone called Billy Mays?. Like all those 'World Series' competitions you guys have where no-one else is invited. :) But @OP, you have got to question any administration that is willing to throw away all of their 'good' work and goodwill over something as small as not being able to run a server for an Alpha game. Speaks of 'Power Trip' with 'community' being just something that happened. Never played on their servers so can't comment on their admin competency.
