Silence is golden for DayZ. ;) I love the Road soundtrack though. Gives off feels galore. Something like this would be cool for the main menu, if a more feelsy one is ever implemented. Less colourfull like, or a scene of your survivor sitting miserably next his fire in a dense forest, as the rain pours down around him.

I must be one of the few people that plays this game with no music. I have enough trouble trying to communicate with people.

Fire it Up - Black Label Society...

Really any good song to listen to as the game turns on.

Yus.

In the house, In a heartbeat is a must.  Some pretty good rock remixes of it out there too.

>.> Some old survival horror soundtracks. Silent Hill in particular. Gwen's theme from Darksouls, the piano tune is really good.

<.< But mostly Stone Sour, Slipknot, Korn, GazettE, Stabbing Westward, MCR, Cold, The Cure, Linkin Park, Gorrilaz, Marlyn Manson, MSI, Adverts, Depeche Mode, aann----... Naw I'll just keep going on forever. You get the idea!

I'm always too busy listening to the surroundings for footsteps and sloppy tuna consumption... or reloading of an M4 from afar... Or the zombie I pissed off I didn't see... The sound of my continued survival is the music to my ears.  :P

Can't forget this!

I use that song when I'm a newspawn and I have no choice but to run from zombies.

Playing Marilyn Manson whilst running around Elektro with a fire axe can be quite fun.

The best thing to listen to is ambient sounds, turned way up.

If you're listening to music, you can't hear me sneaking up behind you.

I think there should only be ambience sound like in Resident Evil 3...gunshots, fires and moaning zombies. Much more creepy

The entire Into the Wild soundtrack but especially these two songs. (I roam the north and west and rarely see anyone unless I'm meeting one of my friends somewhere.)

Yes. Listening for footsteps and nearby loggers is key to survival.

Many of these suggestions are entertaining nonetheless!
