    Dogs

I wonder if we'll be able to kill and dress them? If so it won't take long after they're implemented for someone to start selling dog steaks and rat kebabs on the side of the road.

Books ? why they exist ?

I carry a New Testament with a note requesting that my killer take my Bible to a specific location. I have no idea if anyone will ever read it much less follow through but it might give someone a little more immersion for their Day Z experience.

  4. I have a feeling that as soon as you can't sprint straight to a military loot spawn and gear up in an hour or two so you can return to the coast and start murdering, a lot of the KOS players will either be in here crying or will leave the game. The game is going to get a lot more difficult and it will be to our advantage to work together. It's just a matter of time.

Where is all of the food?!

Look for a house with yellow and blue paint that has a partial log cabin exterior (not the ones that are all log cabin - they are worthless). I've found as many as six or eight food items in the kitchens. They don't all have that much but a lot of them I've seen recently have been loaded. Some of the buildings are spawning loot under the floors but a bug report has been filed and it should be fixed eventually.
  6. I sincerely hope that a lot of the players leave when the number and difficulty of the zombies increase. Good riddance. You have a multitude of options if you want a PvP death match, this is a survival game that includes PvP but that's not the focus. If you don't like that, tear your ass. Don't let the door knob hit you where the good Lord split you.
  7. It's simple. The game design is incomplete at this time. Cooperation and organization have helped humans survive for over 6,000 years. If it didn't help us survive, we wouldn't have done it. Right now other people in game are bigger threats than they are potential allies. When there are thousands of aggressive, hard-to-kill zombies swarming everywhere, people will have no choice but to cooperate or die. That doesn't mean no one will KOS but it will be extremely hard to survive alone. (I don't have more info than anyone else but I've followed the development of this game pretty closely and I base the above on what Rocket has said in multiple interviews.)
  8. Oh no big scary man. I'm shaking. I can be fully geared in a couple of hours at most. You may get your rocks off by shooting my pixels but it means next to nothing when I can have the same gear again in no time. I don't care about getting killed but it should be a lot harder to gear up.
  9. Congratulations on being hired as a developer. You should probably add a forum title so we will know you work with Rocket now.
  10. You sir, are an ass and the definition of a troll. Recent research suggests that online trolls are often actually sadists. You may want to consider a psychological evaluation. Hopefully, you won't even be able to obtain firearms without cooperating. Entering a city, town or base without a team using coordinated tactics should result in player death 99.9% of the time. Those areas should be swarming with hundreds of aggressive zombies. Players should still be able to kill each other but you shouldn't be able to sprint to a loot spawn, gear up and start trolling the way some players do now.
  11. If you read what Rocket has said, he never intended this game to be solely a PvP death match. They are actively working on features to encourage (key word - not force) more cooperation. Personally, I think it should be very difficult (not impossible) to survive completely on your own once there are more zombies and the AI is improved. We just need to be patient. I can guarantee you the game as it now exists does not represent Rocket's vision and the final game will be much different.

    Let's talk about heavy weapons

If these weapons are implemented, they should be rare enough and difficult enough to use that using them against new spawns would be pointless. That is not to say that some idiots wouldn't do that but when fortifications and bases are implemented, we need a way to assault and damage them. If you have one or two rounds, it would be foolish to waste them on new spawns when you could be raiding a base. A mortar or RPG could be used to clear barricades or create breaches for your clan / squad to exploit. Smoke rounds would be incredibly useful and arguably more valuable than HE.

    Let's talk about heavy weapons

Vehicles were far too easy to repair and maintain in the mod. Ramp the difficulty and rarity up and make the weapons unusable without an actual crew and it could be implemented in a way that wouldn't break the game. This is a survival game. Humans survive by organizing and once they're organized they are going to find ever better weapons, strategy and tactics. Finding an RPG, mortar or HMG and figuring out how to work it is a lot more likely than repairing and maintaining a multi-million dollar helo. I would prefer to see a few crew-served and heavy weapons and never see helicopters again (unless they have some specific scenario purpose and are only used by NPCs like an occasional UN overflight to survey the area or something).
  14. I was on the 100 player server for a while and there was still no one in the North. My friend and I covered half the map and didn't see anyone.
