haxborn 28 Posted October 15, 2014 Perfect, I'll try it out. There isnt really much settings I've edited, only some graphics and a couple of keybindings, which I'll "re-do" in 2 minutes or so. Also I'm running "game booster" and that helps a bit. Thankxzxzx

With the second one you might be able to run it on very low settings. The graphic card is quite poor compared to other specs.

It seems to me you are tripping over quarters to save dimes. with essentially the same amount of money (272 pounds/494 canadian dollars) I found you all new hardware what will play DayZ quite nicely. d.walker43 196 Posted October 17, 2014 Yes, I run it on medium settings at these specs CPU: Intel Core i3 4010U 1.7GhzGPU: Intel HD 4400RAM: 6GBRes: 1366x768 I get about 40 fps no matter where I am, and I play on mostly medium graphics. your rig seems about the same, so you should hopefully get similar results.

scottishblue 1 Posted October 20, 2014 First off, hi all! I've not been on these forums in over a year, way before the Standalone came out (can't remember my old login, so I'm a new user!) I absolutely loved the mod, and although my desktop was utter crap last year, I still continued to play the mod extensively, like, A LOT! I didn't bother buying the Standalone back in December last year although I've been ecstatic about owning and playing the Standalone ever since the first time I heard about it. After the SA came out, all of "my group" had bought it and was on that 24/7, but I honestly didn't see the point in buying it if I could hardly run the mod at 25 fps, so I stopped playing altogether, and sold my desktop... So I'm thinking about buying another desktop so I can get right back into PC gaming! (XBOX One is honestly the BIGGEST waste of money, ever!) What I want to know though is, will these specs actually run the SA well? At say, 40+ fps all the time? I don't want to spend money and go right back to where I was again last year... Here's the system specs I was looking at: CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K (3.4GHz, overclockable remember)CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU CoolerGraphics Card: MSI Radeon R9 280 3GB TWIN FROZRMotherboard: MSI B85-G41 PC Mate Total price as of 20/10/14: £384.46 Obviously I'll need a case, mouse, keyboard etc. but I have all of them already. Any information/feedback on this would be fantastic! Oh, and I wouldn't be getting this build until after Christmas! Thanks everyone, and I'm glad to be back! lrp1984 199 Posted October 21, 2014 (edited) So I thought I'd see if my old desktop will run DayZ. Will it work on the low settings? Windows 7RAM: 4GBProcesscor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8300 @ 2.50Ghz (4 CPU's) Graphics: Nvidia GForce GT 520 - 2GBResolution: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (60Hz) From what I can gather the memory and graphics card are ok for the lower settings but the CPU might not deliver a playable frame rate. Borges (DayZ) 40 Posted October 26, 2014 (edited) Thanks for reply!I bought Arma 3, but for ma config is it unplayble on MP. I have 20 max 30 fps with any settings! Is this game like arma 3 requitments? Arma 3 is absolute garbage. With my specs in signature I get terrible fps in multiplayer.. talking 40's-60 with like 20% cpu usage and 40% gpu usage. Absolute rubbish. I should be getting fps in the 70's constant ATLEAST with the 970. The problem with arma 3 is it isn't even optimized to utilize even a quarter of your systems potential. umberfive 89 Posted November 2, 2014 No. There is no reliable scale to determine the fps in DayZ. Even monstrous specs are not a guarantee for high or stable fps.
