anti-duck 0 Posted March 5, 2014 Overcl Overclocking your CPU will help, but that should run Medium to High settings at a very playable framerate. I don't think Xfire or SLI are supported yet, so expect one GPU to be near idle and the other at 100%. Yeah, I didn't expect Crossfire to be supported at this very early stage. Thanks for your answer :D

deebz1234 243 Posted March 6, 2014 Will mine?Gtx 6608gb mushkin ram3.8ghz processor1920x1080p work?of course it will. Has this thread become a pissing contest?I mean, the steam page lists the minimums and over half of the people asking are well above that.Plus the numerous readings on google and here about performance expectations in SA. anyhoo...common sense! muffy_duffy 32 Posted March 6, 2014 Lol, mine was more of a sarcastic question. :^) after building numerous computers for games, I know which graphic cards and processors can, and cant, run games. Cheers mate.
deebz1234 243 Posted March 6, 2014 Ya definitely a troll haha overclock that processor to 4.25+ ghz and you will run dayz as good as any

BEWARE-OF-ME 2 Posted March 7, 2014 Well, I'm having troubles running DayZ SA on my rig, here it is: (the CPU is pretty shit) CPU: AMD FX-4100 4coreGPU: HIS AMD Radeon 7850 2gb GDDR5PSU: Corsair CX600M BuilderOS: Win7 Home PremiumRAM: 8gb DDR3 1333mhz (pretty slow)HDD: 1tb Help, i don't know if it is any good :(
Grimey Rick 3417 Posted March 7, 2014 It'll run DayZ, if that's what you want to know.
BEWARE-OF-ME 2 Posted March 7, 2014 I have DayZ SA, though I don't seem to produce a good frame rate in places such as Elektro and Cherno. What settings would you recommend for me? Getting shit frames in the cities at least. ( < 20 fps! )
Gruffallo 16 Posted March 7, 2014 Just use trial and error, turn some settings down see how it runs.

Grimey Rick 3417 Posted March 7, 2014 I have DayZ SA, though I don't seem to produce a good frame rate in places such as Elektro and Cherno. What settings would you recommend for me? Getting shit frames in the cities at least. ( < 20 fps! ) That's fairly normal. This game is still horribly optimized. In a city, the game currently does not make full use of your video card and processor. Below is a screenshot of the load on my CPU and GPU while inside of a building. As you can see, I'm only using 25% of each graphics card, and not even 70% of my processor. My frames per second are decent in this picture (everything is on maximum), but they're not nearly what they will be when this game is finally optimized. Rocket has informed us that they have discovered what is causing the poor frame rates when in or around buildings, so hopefully we'll see a fix soon.

migu87 0 Posted March 7, 2014 Can I run it? Someone is running it with a PC of similar specifics? Desktop or laptop? warriortyr 17 Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) So I rewrite my question here since nobody could help me: LaptopMonitor resolution: on 2nd screen: 1280 * 1024 (original 1200 * 800)CPU: i7 3520M @ 2,9 GhzGraphics card: intel HD 4000 @ 1Gb VRAMRAM: 8GB SSD? (Yes/No) No Will this notebook be able to run dayZ on lowest settings @ >=30fps ?I know the intel HD sucks, but I always thought the bottleneck for DayZ is the CPU... AND: Will there be a real difference between playing DayZ on a i5 @ 2,5 GHz and this i7 @ 2,9 GHz (with same GPU)? Please help me, I promise :beans: :beans: :beans: ;) Edited March 8, 2014 by warriortyr
boneboys 7988 Posted March 8, 2014 So I rewrite my question here since nobody could help me: I'm sorry that nobody has taken the time to answer your previous post and to be quite honest I am not the best placed to respond. However, I believe that some people run the game using on-board GPU solutions. Don't quote me on that, I'm just bumping in the hope that someone will be able to help you. CPU power is all important in DayZ,.

migu87 0 Posted March 8, 2014 again common sense would dictate you check the minimum requirements. then you would see you are borderline, aka non playable. I know the minimum requeriments. But, for example, I can play perfectly Skyrim, Left 4 Dead 2, Fallout: NW, and some other games that my PC is suposed to can't play. That's why I ask if someone has a PC similar and is playing. warriortyr 17 Posted March 9, 2014 (edited) So everyone who has NOT got a gaming pc or a gaming notebook, I have made a video which shows how the game runs on a non-gaming laptop.Feel free to watch and comment: The VERY interesting thing is that the difference between my integrated and my dedicated GPU is smaller than I expected. Sarah_Ps_Sloppy_V 0 Posted March 9, 2014 (edited) Hi all, Before making the decision to buy the DayZ standalone alpha, I would like to know if I could run it at around 40fps on the lowest settings with a decent draw distance. My computer is 4 years old, so don't laugh at my specs... haha Laptop Windows 8 64bit Intel Core i7 CPU Quad Core Q740 @ 1.73GHz 6GB DDR3 RAM NVIDIA GeForce 330M with 1GB VRAM DirectX 11.0 No SSD Edited March 9, 2014 by Sarah_Ps_Sloppy_V
antykain 200 Posted March 10, 2014 (edited) @Sarah_Ps_Sloppy_V - You are going to have a hard time running DayZ IMHO with that lappy, let alone 40 fps. Maybe at a very low resolution, everything on low/off, it may be playable. Cities might be a nightmare tho. Edited March 10, 2014 by Antykain
