Errr... Sorry if i seem kind a stupid... But i see that most of the people here knows who killed them. Can someone please tell me how you know that? I never saw any info about who killed me.

Well..I'm pretty sure all the people in the thread I made can vouch for me that I never meant to do anything harmful to anybody in the servers (meaning I never cheated) All I did was get that pzero guy banned for cheating and now suddenly I am on the same boat...I wish there was some more answers :(

I apreciate that you wanted to make sure that an abvious hacker gets banned. I dont really understand what happened. What diod you do to get banned? You reported a hacker and for that you got banned?

I hope that your appeal will be listend to and you get back on the game soon.

Bans by GUID, Player ID (number) and/or database. If neither of those are on any ban lists, you're fine, no matter the name

Hello. I found my name in banlist. Let me explain this. Few day ago I played on server Chicago 2 and there are appeared some cheater, he was invisible and shot with M134 machinegun, he killed me and some other players too. But fire effect of MG was visible and I can take off him with Makarov (seen some blood splashes).

Then I come closer and appears an icon of open gear, I open it and see many vehicle's weapons - horn, M134, GAU-8, etc.

I took M134, GAU-8 and GAU-12 and leave server (bacause there are was 0 zombies on debug monitor) and go to some another server, can't remember which one, and shoot about 20-30 zombies, but no players. Then I getting bored of this and continiue played as usual, that weapons is still in my inventory, but I can't drop it because they are was not in gear list, so later I get killed with bandit and lose this stuff.

Since I get this weapons not with cheating way and not interrupted someone's game, I ask to remove a ban and give me just one more chance, I promise to playing fairly.

P.S.: Sorry, I do not know very well English.

ahahaha, [osk]pZEROs got banned? Glorious. Although I'm going to miss running into him and shooting his bandit ass again. He tried - and failed miserably - to rob me the other night in the Stary airfield and I cut him and his 2 friends down instead. Considering his intelligence level, I'm not surprised he got himself banned for whatever it was.

Yeah I got him banned (At least I think I did) He was streaming LIVE as he was cheating, so I recorded it and took pictures, posted it on the forums..BUT now the weird thing is..I got banned too..idk. But Rocket say if there was an error in the ban it can be overturned but..I been trying for almost 2 days now :(

First post here - really enjoying the game BTW :)

Two questions:

1 - I'll bite; why is the banned list called "The Darwin List"?

2 - Could an eventhandler be added to players so that if the weapon is not allowed then it won't fire/kicks them off the server?

Something like:

_unit addEventHandler ["fired", {_this execVM "naughtyWeapon.sqf"}];

And then in the script:

_unit = _this select 0;
_weapon = _this select 1;

if ( _weapon == "GAU8" or _weapon == "GAU12" ) then
{
      // code to punish _unit here;
};

Obviously a really basic example and doesn't cover all of the banned weapons, but something like it could work.

Since this I pretty much only got arma 2 to be able to play this mod I havent been playing the vanilla game much. I have pretty much no idea what kind of equipment to expect out of arma 2

I would really feel a lot more comfortable playing and looting other players if there was a sticky thread on the forums with weapons that are currently in the mod. If a player comes across any weapon or equipment that feels suspicious one can just check the thread to see if its on the list. Just to avoid confusion and ''innocent'' people getting permaban.

I would put up a list myself but as I said I have no idea what weapons are in the game

I love how he says "Enjoy not playing DayZ forever."

They can easily spoof their GUID, change their IP and start hacking again... Banning certain people won't do you any good... But's a good try to keep the servers clean of hackers.
