Did you ever think of "hard" reachable area's or places, which ppl can somehow "unlock". For example: accessing rooms in collapsed buildings/attics/roofs through the use of e.g. portable ladders (such ladders provided)?

What is your opinion on "team"-animations and a possible benefit in gameplay? (PwithP not PvP)

Many ppl would like to have rivers/runlets/streams. Someone even mentioned the possibility to "decouple" rivers from waters such as the sea and lakes in dayz by creating them as separate "objects".

Is this basically how you implemented the swamp or is the water level of it the same as the sea level? How "almost impossible" is it to get them into the game?

As I said somewhere else..it is not a good idea to implement everything on one map..rivers, big cities, swamps, deserts, snowy mountains etc etc etc . Would be better to explore different settings on new maps...

i know, i know. nevertheless i think it is a justified question. And dean wants to make a western-set map desperately, that's what i can "read between the lines" from his statements ;)

No, all weapons will be hitscan. We will also have double jumps and laser rocket launchers.

Standalone is based on the ToH engine which is based on the ArmA 2 engine which means that it most likely has bullet drop. For all weapons.

Please, please say yes

With the new quick bar being in the standalone, It could likely happen unless it's like arma where you stop then switch your weapon.

i would like to use the hunting knife to kill someone silently, do not always have a silenced weapon, and switching to the axe is all a pain in the ass.

So far from what we've seen, there will be predefined slots for every backpack, pants, jacket etc. So will there be items that use more or less than 1 single slot (lighter vs. gun)? Are there any plans regarding this? Did you never think of some kind of "tetris"-based inventory where you have to rotate and move items to pack up your stuff as efficient as possible?

KoS became a "problem" over the last year. ppl who played the mod from the beginning clearly dislike the transition to this gaming-mentality. newer players to the mod however are used to it or even play the game because of it. KoS is a mentality which is directly related to the massive lack of end-game in the mod (Nothing else to do, no real threats, no tasks...)

How will you deliver end-game content in Dayz? What is your idea of end-game for Dayz? Is there even one? Although you dislike the idea: do you think of giving ppl a "golden thread" in one way or another?

every form of content distracts a bit from KoS i guess.

make survival really tough: wounds are serious threats, illnesses are hard to treat and cure, desperately search for food and water, add stamina and weight

make zeds really a threat: so you at all cost have to avoid or outmaneuver them, make no noise, sneak and be a shadow

make life worth living: soft skills? hard permadeath? permanent scars?

Will the standalone engine support the TrackIR head tracker?

TrackIR was/is supported in ToH but I know the DayZ team has made extensive changes to the engine.

I've gotten accustomed to using the head tracker and now it's hard to play games that don't support it.

The best gaming accessory I ever purchased.

making our characters have to shit'n piss after consuming x amount of food & drink would be great. give us a potty-meter icon and everything!

will there be some sort of base / fortress building aside from the average tent? somewhat similar to origins where only the builder can access it

The SA allows now gamers to interrupt their movements any given time. On one hand this allows far more responsive and authentic gameplay on the other hand transitions between movements and especially when interrupted now feel odd. How do you think you can tackle these problems? Also are you going to try getting away from the current twitchiness/instant movements (as seen on E3) more to accelerating "weighted" movements? what can we expect? or are you going to be modest about such plans?
