Read Below for more info* [NEW] - 2 New melee weapons.(Bat,Shovel).* [NEW] - 2 new Bat variations used in crafting (NailedBat,WiredBat).* [NEW] - Wild Spawning of zeds has been redone and readded.* [NEW] - Zed Spawning fully updated to spawn outside the players field of view. (Excludes Infected camps)* [uPDATED] - Infected Camps. Read below* [REMOVED] - M107 & AS50.* [REMOVED] - Removed all military weapons with any attachment from loot tables.Attachment Crafting. Basic WIP DemoHere is a complete run down for an M4A1.Stage 1. 1 inch metal pipe > 2 Glass Bottles > Scrap Electronics > Battery > Cable Tie = AIMStage 2. M4A1 > Aim = M4A1_AimStage 3 CamoNetting/CamoSkin > String = CAMOStage 4. M4A1_Aim > CAMO = M4A1_Aim_CAMOStage 5. 1 inch metal pipe > 2 inch metal pipe > wood X2 > hose clamp = Silencer.Stage 6. M4A1_Aim_CAMO > Slicencer = M4A1_AIM_SD_camStage 1 - You need to find 6 parts to design one AIM attachment + the blueprint.Stage 2 - You need to find a standard m4a1 then attach the aim from stage 1 this will give you the M4A1_Aim again you need the blueprintStage 3 - You need to find 2 mats to create the CAMO Paint again you need the blueprint/Pattern.Stage 4 - You need the M4A1_Aim and the CAMO paint from Stage 3 to give the M4A1_Aim_CAMO + the blueprint.Stage 5 - You need to create a silencer by finding 6 parts in the world + the blueprint.Stage 6 - take the M4A1_Aim_CAMO from stage 4 and apply the silencer again you need the blueprint.Bare in mind this is WIP and will change.Infected Camps.Infected camps are a lot like chopper crash sites however they spawn on server start the camps there self should pretty much stay the same on every start but the objects around the camp will always be different and locations will always be different Infected camps sites have there own loot tables. You find camps in forests,tree areas and meadows. And maybe some not-so-pleased-with parts. Personally, I'm having a hard time deciding between the Attachment crafting, Visible vehicle/tent inventory and the Infected Camps. Not so much liking the idea of starting with a weapon again. Also, I'm on the fence about the return of the old bandit skin. It's great and all, but bandits were enough of a problem as it was. Now, coupled with starting with a Makarov and the badass bandit skin returning, there's sure to be a MASSIVE influx of banditry. But that's just my opinion. I want to hear yours. GOGOGO! You're not going to have time to worry about finding an AS50 anymore. You're going to be struggling for your life vs new TOUGH zeds. I'm so pumped for this update. Nice to hear you're making it more difficult!I just don't like that you are completely taking out all the military weapons with attachments. It would make sense to keep them in but just make them rarer.Also I am having some doubts on the whole crafting thing for the mod. The whole inventory system will not help with crafting. Mathos (DayZ) 41 Posted May 15, 2013 I do agree that removing weapon attachments prebuilt is a bit over the top, as everyone else so far, I too would like to just see them more rare, I do, however, love that you can do so much to your weapons now, making them a time-worthy investment to make a gun that is YOURS. DemonGroover 8836 Posted May 15, 2013 I would actually like it so you can't put a wheel or a helicopter rotor blade in your backpack tbh, but i realise this would make fixing a car/heli nigh on impossible, especially on your own. I have seen suggestions that if you grab a wheel then you have to carry it and not be able to use a weapon until it is dropped. Wouldn't last for many shots at any rate.Scope, no, I doubt it. Yes, you could, but without a machine shop, you wouldn't be able to make any type of optic that would work half-decent. So the question is: why would you bother when you already have perfectly functional iron sights?I've seen a couple examples of jury-rigged optics but none were very good. For example some guy in Afghanistan made a base and put a Russian scope from a 14.5mm KPV heavy machine gun on his RPK, but it always lost its zero after only a couple shots and became near useless. dgeesio 1034 Posted May 16, 2013 on making a rifle scope surely it would be better to add a magnifying glass or telescope or even broken binos which you could search in houses and unesemble to make a scope.with the standalone searching houses looks like it plays a big part so the more you need to craft and search and find and make will make it more interesting .
