I have agree'd with this from the start as well.

Problem is, this is quickly becoming an almost unsolve-able argument.

No matter what gets done, there will be an un-happy portion of the community, which would be fine... but, we forum people have to hear about it. Even in side chat people have been babbling on about it.

Wish the idea had honestly never come up. All I want is the community to get along for fucking once instead of these conspiracy theories.

How about if it's a setting we can toggle?

You know how, say, Terraria allows you to toggle the types of lighting you get from torches, n stuff, and ALL lighting appears like that for you, but for another player, they'd all appear as how they've set it.

Perhaps the same thing could be done with the cans? If they're all given the same properties, but they look different depending of the setting you have.

We never delete posts, just hide. That way if we're accused of censorship they are still available for the admin/devs and other mods to see.

I'm not in charge of anything. Good job really otherwise there'd be no seals left by now.

It ultimately doesn't add anything to the game and has only caused issues.

The idea that it breaks immersion/isn't realistic isn't as ridiculous as most would like to portray (suspension of disbelief and all).

Getting all up in arms that people didn't like it and it got removed is equally as silly as getting up in arms over cans.

That's why when I think about something like this, I simply go with logic. Logically, the content will be the same, the settings are not, but they are user-defined and only the user is responsible for those settings.

If someone were to complain about that train of thought, they are essentially fighting logic, which is an unwinnable battle, really.

That's not to say my logic is flawed, however. I'd always welcome a logically sound counterargument.

So the issue is...it wasn't planned correctly. So how exactly can it be? Stick to more "likely and realistic" themes? I thought pretty much all the cans seemed fine, sure maybe canned muffins is a little odd, but hell. I wonder what the next step shall be.

Most of the names weren't that bad, but your input on this controversy is invalid at this point. Obviously you think the can names are fine. The food names should be fictional names. It's not like every fictional piece of literature/movie/game/book hasn't faced this same issue when it comes to "renaming" a product due to copyright or licensing issues. Perfect example would be the Burger Shot fast food chain in GTA. Just ask your self why did they not name this after a developer? It really is purely based on taste. The next step is a bit of research that should lead to the correct decision. Nothin more nothing less.

Anyway, I'm not trying to give you a hard time but seriously man... one of the products was named after you, we know where you stand. Thank you for all the work you've done.

How do forum moderators deserve to be put in game? Are they in dev team, did they add something to the mod?

Provide you with a stable and clean site for you to:

1. Talk about the mod with other players

2. Find out new information about the mod such as patch updates

3. Seek help or information regarding the mod such as troubleshooting and mechanic explanations

4. Organize events with other players

Without the forum mods, half of the posts here would be hacking posts with links to steal your CD-key, and the other half would be a mix of gibberish, flaming, or people asking why nobody is taking care of the forums. They do all of this voluntarily. They don't get any form of payment for looking after over 1000 people daily, in fact half of the time they simply get shit thrown at them.

So, you shouldn't be asking "Why?", you should be asking yourself "Why not?"

Literally anyone could do that. I have alot of respect for the Dev Team because it requires alot of work to code things in the game and work through tedious glitches and errors.

But to be a forum mod requires the ability to read and common sense really. They don't have to do anything special. And alot of people would happily take their position in a heartbeat IF they could , but they can't. Don't get me wrong, the moderators on here I still respect as individuals and most of them seem to genuinely care, but their job isn't exactly difficult to the extent where they need their names on every piece of food in the game. We can be thankful for them, but to an extent because really, what other choice do we have but to accept them. Nobody else could do it unless the Forum Admin made them a mod.
