Let me get this straight. First you do something I didn't ask or want you to do in the first place, then you undo it later and I'm supposed to thank you for it???

So we should just do whatever you ask? Well i feel entitled to the same, and i want a invincible flying tank, that only i can use, on every server existing on DayZ. And yes you are supposed to thank them. If they didn´t care about the communitys opinion they could just have ignored all your screams and left them. And there wouldnt be a damn thing you could do about it, no matter how much you yelled at them. So be really thankfull.

I've not looked too deeply into this controversy, because of what I've read, it's downright silly.

well in its quintessence it is not silly, but everthing around to recap is somehow silly if you were not involved.

just imagine the trouble in the Palestine. Don't you think well it is so silly, why do they make war, not love. Well then talk to the ppl themselves, you'll see what they think about. It is always easy to see/evaluate things from distance.

Unfortunately the way that the internet works is that people who dont like stuff post that they dont like it. people that like stuff, or more likely indifferent, tend not to post about it and will only post when it's taken away, by which time it's too late.

The only problem i see with these new cans is the models in my inventory and on the floor, they look a bit "cartoony" but theyre just extra items and im not bothered about them being in the game maybe just a bit more realistic models, the names are fine for god sake, theres companies out there called funkypigeon so whats wrong with the new names :S

one easy way would be to implement them in a poorer condition like in the first pictures of Joeys thread http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/121763-3d-model-different-food-qualities-215-update so you get easily rid of the "cartoony" look

I was personally upset because of the stupid actions of the few influenced action for the masses. The Dev team should be honoured for what they already accomplished.

Lets face it ladies and gentleman this mod their is NOTHING! like it., and if they spend a tad of time re-texturing a few cans so be it. let them. but they fixed some pretty big exploits and abuse glitches in this update., the elephant in the room for this one being the ammunition glitches that was just spoiling any challange whatsoever.

Personally my servers are being pulled from the public hive and being re-purposed as a private hive and we will stay on 1.7.6.0 in protest until the next update. (sorry if anyone has stuff on other servers but we will not let the few impact the masses., and much of my servers population agrees with this move) we have also decided to chain ban the players who decided to bash the devs on this issue from our servers. (those who were not so smart to post their character names)

in Conclusion to the dev team., Its a good thing you did. you deserve it don't let a few butt-hurt (Place Derogatory comment here) influence what you do. this is your baby and you should be honoured for its creation. Keep up the good work., and hopefully we will see cute little content updates like this soon.

... okay I am offering a solution. Those of you that are upset and angry and really really annoyed ... I propose that you feel free to hunt me down on a Private Hive Server until you feel better. I will stick to the coast to make it easy and I will only use a Hatchet ... if however I kill you with the Hatchet you have to forget the whole canned food incident and move on.

Anyone else who wants to join me as Cannon Fodder is most welcome. :)

Then afterwards we can all gather around the camp fire ... sing Koombayah (or however the hell you spell it) ... have a nice hug ... a group photo ... and then move on as a cohesive community (while as cohesive as a community spread across the world can be) ... but you get my point.

What are people bitching about? I think the devs are lucky they haven't been given a cease and desist order for using real name brands. OMG. What would people do then? 100% fake names for the food/drinks? Holy crap. What a fucking disaster that would be. It would completely ruin the realism... in a game with "zombies"... in a game where you can magically fix a broken truck with a tool kit and some scrap metal without so much as a lift or a garage... in a game where you can run 10000 km without stopping... in a game where a can of beans fills your belly... in a game where a shot of morphine heals a broken leg... in a game where pain pills work instantly... in a game... well, you get the idea. :)
