maybe the climb to the top of the world (the Everest) was a metaphor? A metaphor that describes how Rocket and DayZ will get popular after the release of the SA, implying that it will be the most popular game, a success, a breakthrough? lol :P

Just picture it - Rocket standing on top of the mountain, raising the game's box in his hands. The background is filled with red colours and smoke, and the sky is grey with lightning strikes, then Rocket laughs in this evil laughter "MUAHAHAHA" :D

People are claiming that the game will be release at the end of march, early april since rocket is still planning his hiking trip. not sure if thats true or not though

I guess it’s a hard one. As they know the game has a bit to go and don’t want to lose followers. The balance has to be right or it comes across as stringing along people and for some the could lead to resentment. So any news is good.

But they do have to keep us on the end of the line with that worm till the game comes out. Fortunately I cant play the game till a new PC rig arrives later this year but even I’m looking forward to the Test release to see what they have done. I watch a lot of DayZ, Wasteland etc on Twich its about all I can do in a 2004 build.

There was nothing worth getting a new PC then boom five or six look to be coming out. War Thunder, DayZ standalone, ARMAIII, The new C&C game, Sim City and Elite Dangerous (that I have already bought as I was a backer on KS)

Roll on the test! Main thing for me is fixing the hacking and glitches you see on every stream and try and get a performance gain.

Chances are there is electricity and high speed internet in the mountains where he is going. I find it unlikely that he will take a day off for a hiking trip. In fact, I would have none of it.

These early-access and test programs are really exciting for us. Particularly the ability to fully mod the Alpha is something quite unique in the current industry. Many of the games are even moving away from modding the final game. I can’t wait to see what our community comes up with before the full game is released.

this was stated by Ivan last year (Gamestar interview)...maybe this has been changed, but I don't think they will release new modding tools for the alpha...
