Well it's not so stupid IMO. If I had a company, especially in these times, ESPECIALLY IN EUROPE (they're chechz right?), I wouldn't mind making 2 weeks more of profit. Rather 2 weeks later release, then no BIS.

Not saying it's the reason for late release. my reason would be something involving the US Goverment, nasa, Aliens, Bill Clinton, dolphin group rape and Kim Jong il. And the concorde smashing into the surface of the moon.

DayZ is delayed and we all have to deal with it, i mean i would love some news as much as the next survivor but i am learning to occupy my mind with other things until some news is released.

I am hoping for some news in the next 7 days about what is going on.....

*edit: I seriously doubt they're going to add some restricting mechanic into the game. Rocket wants the game as organic as possible, and making you feel artificially safer is going against that in a multitude of ways.

As sergy says, you misread me :) When I mention a mechanic in place I mean, something to occupy the bored souls who just like to snipe noobies rather than something to stop them. The same with the KoS ethic of many folk, I dont want anything to stop it, but rather a reason for folk to perhaps not do it.

Does that make sense? I havnt slept a lot so may be a bit vague.

Well they said they would support it for time to come (SA) it will develop and evolve as time goes by so there will be lots to look forward to, lots of nuggets with regards to the build. Then the Mod will be there also with it's diverging path. I only hope My computer is sorted by the release date, I would hate to miss out on the many hours of fun I could be having (So at my rate, it should come out in June!!)

When it comes I do hope they have alimited edition with a laser etched Zombie glass weight, I think there is something to say about physical products.

Yeah you people are pissed because you haven't get some tweets about DayZ in two weeks. In Arma 3 side there wasn't any communication just bit after the E3 (that was 5 months ago) until we got information that they will release brief update in early 2013.

I won't be surprised if the next information about DayZ comes on purpose at the same time as Arma 3's.

Then what was the point of your post? You seem to take issue with potential customers asking for development updates or just a simple "Development is continuing". This is the central SA topic and there has been nothing on SA for over two weeks and not a word for over 3 days of Rocket's own deadline.

Tell me do you see many posts here calling for boycotts? or saying "Delay = No sale for me" Do you see ANY evidence of 50 percent potential sales due to this thread?

I understand genuine excitement for a game's release but this isn't my first time to this particular rodeo so I can handle situations like this tiny drop in the bucket-of-time called a couple weeks. Picture the stand alone as an un-fixed vehicle in DayZ, with a survivor scurrying around to fix it. Sure you could take the shot now, but the reward is slim. Allow a short time for it to be fixed up, and you stand to gain a lot more when you take the shot.
