Take a second to think that it is possible for it possibly to not be duped, don't just assume it is.. You could have been taking someone's hard-earned equipment but you just take it for granted that it's duped.

The sheer volume of duped items is a real issue. My regular group now has a policy of destroying AS50's, M107's and L85's when we encounter them (even if they spawned in a legitimate manner).

I miss the days when 90% of cherno snipers had CZ's, rather than the "fun" of .50's.

We found tons of tents along the coast, in the most obvious places, w/ basic gear, ghillie and an AS50 each. I guess some so called bandits were just tired of shooting unarmed bambis. Made high gear accessible to shoot well equipped bambis.

We drove over most of the tents an destroyed them but they respawned with the next server restart. <_<

On my (soon to be EX) regular public hive server, we have tents everywhere filled to the brim with "end game" gear! Since we all seem to play on private hives a majority of the time, it has become very simple to find gear. I honestly don't care about that stuff, but if you stumbled across one of those tents... you'd probably think DUPERS!! The admin is shutting the sever down tomorrow, because of the lack of players. (He also plays on private hive server I play on lol) Although it does sound like you found duped tents, if the server is dead, it maybe just a group of guys carebearing it up! ( yeah I am guilty, what can I say? I sometimes like just to run around and prance in the zombie filled fields of flowers and happy thoughts)

@Aftershave - They are spam-bots. We (mods) spend a lot of time blocking their accounts. Whenever you see one just click the report button and type spambot and we'll deal with it as quickly as we can.

With regards to duping, play on a private hive and you'll find it's been fixed.

Same thing happens to me. Supporting a hacker is almost as bad as hacking itself. Banned both of them. I call it 'guilt by association'.

I got this all the time. When I would spawn in hacked items for players on servers I would become like a celebrity to those people, like some sort of a god. Then when the admin would ban me the players on the server would get sooo pissed. Some would leave and follow me to the next server because they loved me so much.

You have to remember: Not everyone hates all hackers like you and pretty much everybody else on these forums. A surprising amount of people genuinely enjoy their presence.

You have to remember: Not everyone hates all hackers like you and pretty much everybody else on these forums. A surprising amount of people genuinely enjoy their presence.

Sometimes hackers can do fun things like when one spawned in a shitload of police cars and started a race to cherno when we got there he gave everyone a hacker box. When more people joined he spawned a chopper and we proceded to arrest them when they took a police car, it was a fun change from everyone kill each other.

They do not, most people dislike hackers but gave up raging quite some time ago because it is not worth the effort or frustration. Sure some people will take your hacked gear and even be happy that you gave it to them, but if you asked those same players what they thought about hackers in general the majority answer would not be flattering.

I have seen the Santa hackers plenty of times and normally I would just attempt to kill them after they let their guard down (usually ended in my death, but I never care anyways). But most people will just take the gear and some might even defend you after you are killed as the nice hacker, but notice how they had to say nice hacker because we all know that most hackers are douchebags and I am fairly positive that label could have been applied to you on numerous occasions (do not lie and say all of your time was spent giving, you killed people using douchebaggery like the rest of them).

At the end of the day I usually felt bad for the Santa hackers, they do not have friends to play with and their people skills are so poor they had to resort to cheating to make in game friends.

Playing on Lingor now instead of Chernaurus, duping that utilized tents and vehicles has been taken care of, I assumed it would be the same for Chernaurus but I suppose this thread proves otherwise.

Simple answer you choose the wrong servers, there are many servers that dont even have tents, i got 3 servers and none of them have hacked or duped items.

Forget LIngor it is as bad as Chernarus when it comes to tents and duping, Namalsk is the map to play on if you dont want to many hacked items or tents.

Exactly. Playing on public servers is a joke. If you want a cheat and hack free experience your only going to find it on a private server. Mine is in my signature. We ban and kick cheaters and we look through tents and cars and inventory to insure there is no duping going on and we use a spectate tool when all else fails to make sure cheaters are dealt with. You will never get that on a public server. The only people still playing on public servers are noobs and cheaters.
