    First vehicles will come in Q3, which is, at worst, end of September. Other vehicles will follow at Q4 and further, which means, until end of December or early next year. Same applies to making bases.

    2 million copies of DayZ and H1Z1

    You think because they got a lot of money the game development will go faster? The engine consist of thousand and thousand of lines of codes. If something breaks they must go back. Things I know and read about is that Arma 2 engine is broken, Arma 3 engine is broken. Can they be fixed? Probably not, but they can centerly improve. Vehicles i Standalone are being re-done from scratch meaning they DO NOT want to copy paste from arma 2 or 3. If they would have build a complete new engine for this game it would take 3+ years probably. Not many engines can handle the size of chernarus. There is alot more too it but it would be tl:dr Just a quick edit, Alot of things you see now in standalone are currently placeholders meaning it will change or be redone in the future.

    Um, aesthetic is the use we're talking about right now? But yeah, I don't think the second use would have much of a chance to be implemented, but after vehicles and survival is done, I think rags in the mouth would be cool.

    Vehicles confirmed? Yes. Next patch? No. Well not unless they aren't going to do ANY patches until they get vehicles ready. Which is highly unlikely.
  6. Honestly I think you guys are confused. This game is fun because it is A challenge, not because it's realistic. I want it to continue being a challenge not realistic. Vehicles just will end up being for the elite people on the servers. And most likely a deathtrap which will make everyone aggro you.

    ^ Tents, cars, whatever, have to stay around after you die - because maybe someone shoots you off your bicycle so they can have the bicycle for themselves. The vehicle will stay wherever you leave it, if you are alive or dead. Or they track you back to your tent and kill you to steal your gear from the tent. In the mod, tents used to vanish if the owner did not visit them for a defined period - I dunno, maybe it was 10 days? 2 weeks? To clean up the server. But - every so often the admin would do a major server reset because all the vehicles had been repaired and then hidden and forgotten, or left hidden deliberately forever, or were completely destroyed, and so there were no vehicles any more. So the major reset would vanish all the vehicles, repaired or not, and you would start again in a clean world, looking for vehicles to start repairing. Except that your tents still stayed on the server, they only vanished if you didn't visit them for the set time, they didnt vanish with the reset. See? Tent is yours, and stays in the game as long as you go on visiting it sometimes. Vehicle is just a moveable object, like a rock on wheels, and stays in the game even if you quit playing completely, until it is burned or driven off a cliff. If loot respawns all the time without a reset, the same system could work in SA. But if you have to reset the server to respawn loot, something different has to be worked out. Anyway - if you get killed, your base or tent or vehicle stays around so other players can get to it. That has to be true, right? That will be probably why they killed you. [sorry, off topic] xx

    LOL. That's laughable. There are serious issued with the network. I can't even pull out my pistol with the hot key button if there is more than 30 people on the server. Whoever thinks that vehicles would be in the next patch has never played the current version of Dayz SA.

    For information about vehicles and when they're supposed to be implemented, look at the roadmap. Cars obviously are confirmed. But when, oh when?

    Watched the stream myself and there was no mention by Hicks about vehicles. Of course there were people in chat asking about vehicles that were never acknowledged, because it absolutely silly to even ask about them at this stage. Vehicles are NOT going to be in the next patch and will be implemented much later in the Alpha.

    Whatever you say, but you should realize all the things this game needs to change before people forget about this game, and tents, storages, animals and vehicles aren't solution to everything, you just get DayZ mod+ A.K.A standalone

    The amount of whining we've seen from others who died while fully geared means your opinion is not how most players feel about dying. If you want to make dying suck more for YOU, try imposing some rules on yourself, like no respawning for 24 hours of real time. That's just one idea for you. The sky's the limit. Additionally, when vehicles and player storage are added, you'll have a lot more to lose. Be careful what you wish for when you tell the devs "more suck plz".
  13. Hallo, i just bought a server but never did anything with scripting, tried it but failed miserably. Its a Vilayer server and i would like to run Panthera Epoch with some mods.. And am willing to pay for it. I would like to offer up to a 50euro's. Maybe handy to add, the extra adds that i would like to have added -Self BB -Action Menu -Mutiple AI Missions -Cargo Supply Drops -Lift/Tow -Take Clothes -No Decay / Indestructible Bases -4 hour restart/ 1 hour night 2 hours day and 1 hour night again -Parachute Spawn -Clear Roads -Auto Refuel and Auto Repair -Build Snapping -Safezone (backpack protection/godmode)Trader -Added Trader Items (Vehicles,Metal Floor, Combo Locks, Chainsaw, Guns, All ammo of the guns on vehicles) -Admin tools, spawnable supply crates -No overburdendness anymore! ;) -​and some creativity from you, what you would like to add :D

    Stop With the "This is Russia BS"

    Alright, I have seen this waay to many times and it is frankly pissing me off. There are posters everywhere saying "This is a Russian Farming Community, they wont have that." This is just BS. If we were really going all out realism then there would be very little guns anywhere except military bases. Dayz is focused on a zombie apocalypse, not a Russian apocalypse. I don't just want Russian surplus weapons, because that is boring as hell. I want weapons from everywhere (Preferably older weapons) And I want them to spawn just as much as Russian weapons. I'm talking about the MP40, the Sturmgewehr 44, the M1 Garand, Lee enfield, M44, etc. IDGAF if all you want is Russian everything, because that is boring as hell especially in a farming community where there are only going to be shotguns and crappy rifles. Dayz needs to have weapons, clothing, and vehicles from all over the world to give a diverse experience. There needs to be Russian guns, yes, but in no way should they dominate all of Chernaurus
  16. I not only think it will be a good Idea, it will be necessary when larger amounts of players are on the map, and we have fast travel of vehicles. As of right now I find it gross how we are all crammed into berezino, rify, and NE airfield, I would love to see the castles fully used, and all the smaller towns picked over.

  18. I completely agree. Let's make the game so bloody difficult the only thing keeping you playing it is an addiction. When I first read about DayZ back in December (yep, I'm a newbie to the franchise with 950 hours logged on the standalone!) I thought it was going to be that brutal, relentlessly difficult game I'd been looking for. Even though we're still in the alpha, judging from everything I've read and what I've witnessed in-game, it's a walk in the park. Will this change? I hope so. The difficulty of the environment is going to dictate whether or not this game will live up to the hype. Not the clothes, vehicles, bases or weapons they add along the way. Once the unforgiving environment is in place, then we'll be in good shape.

    I think if Dean follows the Epoch mod with the Fort/Base building, you will have groups of players collaborating to build/attack/defend bases. And as soon as you have vehicles, the dynamics will change completely.

    Since everyone is using a key or a weight to auto-run, why not implement the feature anyways? Instead of using gimmicks to auto run, just assume this as a feature. Isn't the point of an alpha listening to what the community has to say? Most of the people posting here stated they used the coin trick to auto-run. There are no vehicles. And there won't be a long, long time. This is a huge map, and since the Standalone is assuming itself as a MMO, and if I recall correctly, most MMOs have a auto run feature... do the math.

    TeamSpeak just requires you to install (its free and not very big nor does it cause junk or spam or slow down your pc). You connect either by domain name or IP address. That's it. Once in, you just use your mic and join a 'room' that others can join and you speak together while you play. id highly recommend it if you ever plan on working with others in larger groups. Don't ever give out your exact location..but just out of curiosity, where are you located (general location)? If its not far I can try to come help in a bit. (we don't have vehicles in SA obviously so travel time can be a pita).

    Bandits ruin this game

    I know full well of having health concerns and playing DayZ. I myself am a Heart patient, have High-blood pressure, Anxiety/Depression ect. But Bandit's/KoS'rs make this game out to be what it is, and I wouldn't have it any other way, when they add in more content like building bases, constructing vehicles, and hunting/cooking, there will be less of a focus on PVP and more of a focus on playing the game. And if you where in Elektro, and didn't see the dudes/dudettes, they where most likely using Mosins and sniped you.
