    Are there server exploits for finding vehicles, because I swear no matter how well I stash one… another survivor finds it almost immediately. For instance, we found an M3S — put wheels and battery in her, drove to an extremely remote location that was near no civilization whatsoever, and within a very short amount of time as I was setting up a medium tent in the woods I heard the engine start and it got stolen. I pulled the battery and my friend logged off with it. We were parked over an hour’s walk away from spawn points in the middle of the woods. How the fuck did someone find the truck and happen to have a truck battery on them!?

    Cars motor broken Why ?

    You need to put water in the radiator. The car may show the water level as full in a normal world, but this is dayz world and as such most vehicles have this dial backwards. If the needle is pointing right the radiator is empty, pointing left and it is full. You need to be at least half full of water to not damage the engine. The gasoline dial works correctly (right full, left empty).

Shouldnt you be doing something constructive like i dunno fixing the constant game crashes on the xbox or maybe adding more things to the base building menu. Or how about explaining why the infected can climb over/through player created walls. Or perhaps shal we dare say fix the vibrating dancing through you through the game map vehicles?

    Infected VS vehicles sentence:

    hello, the game has been released for 3 years and the cars still need to be reworked. I will briefly outline my proposal for the interaction of infected and vehicles. • If a vehicle hits an infected, the same sound is played when the vehicle hits a survivor. Because now there are no sounds of this event at all. • When a vehicle hits an infected or an animal, it takes damage, either to the engine or to parts such as the radiator, doors, hood. • If the vehicle does not have doors - infected and predators can damage and attack players in the car. • If the Vehicle has doors, then the door itself will take damage from the infected. • Destroyed doors and body parts fall off (this was the case in which of your test builds, I don't know if it's possible to implement it, but if not, it's not).

    Are you brain dead or just being a dick because crying about vehicles is your identity or did you not even read the link “We’re in the process of importing the latest version of vehicle simulation from a newer version of our Enfusion engine. We hope this will bring some much-needed stability to vehicle simulation in DayZ and expect to perform some public testing in the coming weeks.”

    Bicycles, dirt bikes, helicopters, airplanes etc etc will not be part of DayZ in the foreseeable future. The reason is not that the devs don't want it, it's because the DayZ devteam is not assigned the resources it would need to implement the necessary systems into the engine. If and when DayZ is shifted to full Enfusion that will change things, but current development is purely stability, life support and minor content implementation. They (the DayZ devs) have said numerous times that there will be no major graphical overhauls or changes to the game's physics. That means no flying vehicles, no two-wheeled vehicles, no ragdoll physics, no volumetric clouds, no lighting improvements. It sucks - but it is what it is. BI are focused on building Enfusion to have a platform for the next Arma. DayZ is a guilty pleasure and not likely to be allowed to get all the nice stuff before the flagship Arma... As for new vehicles I expect they will eventually add the old transit bus and perhaps the s1203 van, as well as a couple of more V3S variants (chassis & open flatbed). Since two-wheelers are no-go for the above mentioned reasons, I hope they will consider adding quadbikes too at some point.

    Dayz's Flawed Foundations: Movement and Gunplay

    After working with Software developers across multiple companies and understanding the different methodologies used to create new software and systems. I blame both management and the devs. Early on it was evident to me that scope creep was a HUGE issue and management didn't hold their feet to the fire. They let Dean Hall run his mouth and didn't reign him in until it was too late. I am certain management thought the attention DH brought would be all unicorns and rainbows and they could translate that into $$$. But the devs kept saying things in public that they shouldn't have. Do you remember when we were told speed hacking and flying cars would not be possible in the game because they were going to use "SANITY CHECKS". That never happened. And if you underrstand the move to have vehicles client side, you would know that sanity checks would damn near be impossible UNLESS the vehicles were server side. Hell, they couldn't even use the ragdoll stuff because it was all done client side and the way bodies fell would be different on every client as it was random. All of this is shit that happens during the normal R and D phase pre-ALPHA. They were saying these things and promising things out in the open in EA and had no idea if it would actually work. It was just stupidity flying all around at BI.

    Dayz's Flawed Foundations: Movement and Gunplay

    I heard from rumors that DayZ was always meant to be co-developed with the new Enfusion engine, but... making an engine takes time, so DayZ development took much longer than anticipated. There is nothing to blame consoles for. Sure they released the game on the consoles, but that doesn't change the fact that they just didn't have the engine for the game ready. They COULDN'T from a technical standpoint make the game they wanted to make. You could blame consoles for 0.64 > 1.0 version jump, but to be honest everyone was sick of their Early Access BS excuses, they had the game in development for so long there is nobody else to blame but BI. Game put in development way too early, work on the new engine barely started so they had to use old stuff and eventually ditch it and transfer to the new stuff, hence we lost so many features the game used to have. So to sum it up, the only blame could go on BI for not having the engine early enough, thus prolonging the development of DayZ for so long and making a mess out of it. I'm sure Enfusion will have server side vehicles just like DayZ, but now DayZ is suffering from the early implementation of that.

I mean it is horribly bad the sheer volume of these ads that are showing up as of late. For God's sakes BI please get a grip on this! I can't even properly bitch about how bad car physics are because of all the hacks available for the game now! I search for "DayZ vehicles" , but you can use many other DayZ search phrases and select a filter of today and wallah.... nothing but hack results, good job BI and Battleye!

    M4 is Rediculous

    The last thing this game needs is tanks. Also given how bad vehicles work in dayz I'd say a tank would classify as a weapon of mass destruction. I got 3 stashed in barrels in some undisclosed locations, 60 round mags included.
  25. Add the ability to close vehicles using lockpicks. A small addition: When closing the door from the driver's seat, all remaining doors, hood and trunk were blocked.
