    1. Navmesh. Zombie don't walk through walls like they used to. Yea, every now and then, but you can lock them/yourself in rooms. 2. Vehicles, yup...vehicles. 3. No more head-glitching into buildings. 4. Lots of new towns. 5. 1st implementation of barricading. 6. Ackinghay siay utoay foay ontrolcay noay ubpay hardsay. 7. Private shard servers exist. 8. Bunch of new and cool weapons. 9. Horticulture. 10. Animals, hunting, fishing. 11. FPS is a bit lower than 7 months ago. 12. Craftable ghillie. 13. Ragdoll.     Mod -Went from a survivalist to a suicidal kamikaze who used to threw helicopters over people after seeing shosho's videos :P -I just killed two people with grenades, I prefer the smoke or flash ones for some reason -My favourite map from the ArmA 2 mod is Namalsk (which I hope to see back when SA's workshop is open) -I love the dirt bikes, mostly because they're specially good for chases and stunts -I am a very good driver at most air vehicles, In land...well, better not have me behind the wheel :lol: -My favourite weapon and the perfect choice for all the situations it's the G36c, what can I say?, Germans surely know how to make a beauty of weapons :thumbsup: SA -I killed more people with the amphibia than the M4, that sneaky gun is sooo good. -Never ever killed anyone with a mosin with LRS, I suck at sniping. -I have some guilt over KoSing some people at the coastal areas, the reason why I started to only play at north and just head coast when have to make trades. -I am the leader of a clan, but somehow I enjoy more playing as a lonewolf because I feel unable to protect my brothers in arms. -I crashed my first V3S on experimental, and then died. -I consider myself as a "dirty bandit" but somehow I refuse to pvp as much I liked before, somehow this does not stop me from going into killing sprees when I die and have to meet the coast again. -Most of my friends were people I decided not to kill when I had the opportunity, most of them are now my partners in this hell. -I see clans and big groups as a "challenge to my skill", atleast to my individual skill. I don't know, but I surely feel like an skilled player after taking down an entire group by myself. -For now I'm staying up in the north by the woods, enjoying the wild life, hunting down people for bounties and making trades with some groups to get something in exchange, all by my own.

    Not to much military loot

    Explain to me how limiting the variety is vital? The amount that spawns should be lower, yes, but the potential of what can spawn should go up. It's not like military spawns are displacing other loot, because they only spawn at, you guessed it; military spawns. Plus, if you have a larger variety of stuff, you're less likely to see a specific instance of military gear so often, thus decreasing the overall number of specific items. It seems to me like a larger variety with lower spawn rates would be the best thing, because you'd have a lot of mixing of both civilian and military gear, which is what would often happen post-apoc (per say combining the durability and utility of a military vest and ballistic helmet with the comfort and low-bearing of some regular clothes.) DayZ won't play anything like ArmA whether there is one AR or 100 ARs, because ArmA focuses on groups of already supplied units in generally combined arms assaults on forces proportionate. DayZ has far fewer players per server and even less organization within them. Add that to the fact that everything in DayZ needs to be scavenged or salvaged, and massive scale battles end up a rarity. (Not to mention there are and probably will not be any tanks/APCs, heavily-armed helicopters or planes, long-ranged artillery, laser-guided bombs, and all the bells and whistles of ArmA. Not to say that none of this will happen, and I'm pretty sure armed vehicles will be a thing, but it definitely won't be finding a BMP-2 with 2,000 rounds of HEDP, likely more along the lines of an old pickup truck with a PK that you have to find and mount and link the ammunition for individually, of which you will only have limited quantities.)

    Not to much military loot

    Only to get overwhelmed by hordes of infected therefore fleeing, taking the what supplies and survivors they can in helicopters and vehicles leaving the military bases barren only to find out that some of the survivors they brought with them were infected themselves and attacked them in mid flight causing a fatal crash somewhere way out in the ocean. The remainder went off the radar hundreds of kilometers outside of Chernarus never to be heard of again.

    Just some extra gameplay suggestions

    well I didnt say to make it like minecraft.. but lets say find a builing and barricading it or make a small outpost in railways roads etc by collecting resources not by mining. (especially if they add vehicles to load them on) And other players like bandits could make that hard to happen etc so you would need friends and a plan to be able to collect the scattered resources. As for the turrets I didnt mean automated ones they should need ammo and a user to control them I just thought they should not be mobile and lootable like normal weapons because that would outbalance the game a lot.. enemies (=any player that doesnt like them :P )should be able to destroy them though. as for the npc part I didnt mean exactly quests more like random events like in GTA lets say find guy on a tree and a zombie waiting for him or a house that has a family in it and zombies raiding it safe the family by killing or training the zombies to an other place and collect some resources as reward. As for zombie raids why do you think it wont happen? especially if its something like a one time event every now and then = they dont have to add it to the game they just need to load a script or something which is much more controllable and adds stability since it will be something like an isolated incident in the game. wouldnt it be grade for example to know that tomorrow night there will be a bunch of zombies raiding the X location and that there will be a scary big one too? :P anyway thats just my opinion and of course I respect the opinion of others as well.

    Next Vehicle

    Please tell me the rideable llama thing is a throwback to UO because <3 I do think in terms of development purposes, either horses/boats/helicopters/planes should be next. As any one of those will behave much differently than a wheeled vehicle. I don't see a whole lot of purpose to introducing another car at the moment, and to a lesser extent a bike/motorcycle/quad. These are all things I want in of course, but as they have demonstrated they like to try to do the most complex version of something first to establish a baseline for things to follow. I'd be fine with air vehicles coming last, as they offer the most end game of transportation, but I do think it would be valuable to start with something like mounts or boats next.
  9. On experimental right now at least they said there are a lot of vehicles spawning for testing purposes. I kinda expect stable to have a large amount of spawns initially as well, with them reducing it later. It could make the transition easier for those who would complain though. This is something that didn't bother me much, until I went back to the mod and then back to the SA again and realized it really is a bit painfully slow going uphill. Although a portion of that could also be related to run speed as well, where the difference is just perceived to be much greater because you run so fast normally. It could probably still use a bit of tweaking though.

Agree(but add in a harsh weight stamina system aswell), these sort of changes for me personally are more important than vehicles (but thats just me i realize ill be spending far more time on foot than i will in a vehicle and believe these sort of changes will have a large positive effect on the game.

    I never got to ride in a helicopter in the mod. Every time I'd be around when my group was getting one going we would get either killed by a hacker squad or the server would reset and the helicopter would be gone, replaced by a tractor. Not shitting you there. Once we had a convoy of 3 vehicles heading to a camp, bringing loots and parts for the heli. Server restarted, 2 out of the 3 convoy vehicles were gone, the other turned into a bike and the heli became a farm tractor.

    What none of us want to admit

    Again, that is because THERE IS NEXT TO NOTHING TO DO IN-GAME. Is there base-building? No. Are there (working) vehicles? No. Are there working survival mechanics? Barely. Literally, there is nothing else to do currently in-game with your loot except kill people with it. Literally nothing. We are not saying "fuck you" to PvP, by the way. I engage in PvP all the time. I just got 15 kills in a row with the improvised bow, probably the worst ranged weapon in-game, just for shits and giggles. I (and a lot of other senior members of the forum) certainly aren't afraid to mix it up. We just think that Day Z is, and shall be, more than a shoot-em-up simulator, and we get irked when players state that is what it is supposed to be. It isn't, it is supposed to be a "post-apocalyptic survival game" "post-apocalyptic survival game" "post-apocalyptic survival game" Now, does that mean there is no PvP? Hell no. However, does that mean survival aspects should be lessened or removed entirely to please the "ALL PVP ALL THE TIME" fanboys? Hell no

    Next Vehicle

    I agree, we need a civilian type of rugged truck/suv. Although I wouldn't expect to find any kind of American-made Jeeps in Chenarus. If you look overseas, specifically in Europe, most rugged expedition style vehicles you find are Land Rovers or Toyotas. A pickup would have great utility and cargo space, a 4 seater SUV would be perfect for hauling a small group. My personal suggestions would be an old, dented, beat up, rusty Toyota Pickup/Hilux or Landcruiser. I also agree with the person who suggested the vehicles should have mismatched paint. White body with a blue hood, mismatched doors, a gray fender is realistic. Devs could also offer more spraypaint colors allowing us to spraypaint each panel to match the paint.

    A Stretch for Cars but Maybe one Day?!?

    While I like some parts of your idea I have to say that I think car alarms should be left out. One reason being older vehicles seldom have alarms, and the other reason is that there are plenty of other ways to make it really really hard to get the car anyway. Consider for example the following scenario: You find a car, but x number of tires are flat, the battery is dead, and sparkplugs need changing. Also there is no fuel. Since you're not carrying more than one tire at a time, nor more than one battery at a time, and maybe two cans of fuel, if you're alone this means you will have to travel back and forth to the car no less than 2+x times as a bare minimum. So, now add to this the time it would take you to find the components. Fuel needs a container to be carried in, but say you settle for the one can of fuel so that's one run to and from a fuel source with a jerry can. Perhaps you can use water bottles and canteens or maybe even a cooking pot to carry the fuel, but the water bottles will not be good for water afterwards and the cooking pot will take up both your hands while you carry it, and a mechanic can be added to make you spill a little fuel if using the cooking pot so that you only get a fraction of the fuel to the car. Now find a working battery, carry that heavy bastard to the car, then find a tire and carry that to the car. Then find sparkplugs. What if those are rare? Either way, say you undertake this whole mission to fix the car. What says that someone else already carrying the last missing component doesn't get there and repair it before you? Or simply spot you traveling back and from the car all those times and decide to ambush you? Alright, assume you manage to fix the car at the bare minimum. You now have a weak battery, and a 10% full tank of fuel. So, you get onto the hotwiring (and I'd say skip the hotwire kit. It's not that hard to hotwire older car models. Newer ones are a different matter), and for that you need some tool to break open part of the dashboard, some tool to cut the wires, and then duct tape to insulate the wires so they don't blow a fuse from touching some other wire connections behind the dashboard. This would take a couple of minutes. So, once you're done with that if someone hasn't seen you already (zombie or person) you're lucky. Now comes the exciting part. Have you ever considered how loud the starting engine on an older car model is? Remember that weak battery you put in? It's gonna take a couple of tries to get the engine started. During that time you will be making a lot of noise. If you still manage to survive all this without getting killed you can drive off. I'd say there's no need for car alarms. Also, all of the above makes this hard to do on your own, so it should definitely be a group effort. In closing, I'd like to add the suggestion that they put something similar to this into the game (rare item of course): It works such that the driving gas in the can fills the tire, but it also sprays a mix of solvent and sealant into the tire, so that when the tire spins it coats the inside. This is no permanent fix however. It only allows you to drive a short distance, say to a repair shop. Or in this case, out of the hot zone and into a garage to hide or something like that. :)

    So... Zombies?

    I really hope they put some more focus on zombies to bring them to this state. They are doing quite good on content generation and I'm excited about upcoming vehicles. I feel like they should focus and hammer out these zombies soon. It's a huge part of game-play and in my opinion, real zombie threa is one of the best catalysts for interesting player-player interaction, and one of the fundamental building blocks of the game.

    All those crashes are coming down to one thing I think.. Ragdoll physics Seems like it crashes when anything goes ragdoll, and stays crashed for your character until that body despawns, now allowing you to spawn in. It actually may be a somewhat easier fix to get vehicles working properly. Im gonna guess, tentatively that we might get lucky and see this in stable soon here.

  25. Well definitely there should be a lot of customization options and that would be really cool, but please think of the poor old developers when you ask for "endless possibilities", okay? Hey, could you please add the 'vehicles should be craftable from scratch, And found perfectly working, and repairable' option? None of your poll answers tickles my fancy. Please don't take this the wrong way but the poll feels a little slanted, you have no degree in between "Military vehicles should be more common than civilian ones!" and "Military vehicles should be super rare"
