Hero? Heh, you're not a hero if you don't think of other's lives before yours. A hero won't kill a bandit, he'll do his best to keep him alive, strip all he has and leave him to the wild. I can't wait for those days at DayZ that we'll be able to move knocked out people to places, put them in to vehicles, throw them to the middle of the ocean or close them to some cage and feed them to bears. I really wouldn't buy miscreated , there are NO Enemies , if you kill the server owner you get kicked , the loot is literally non existent , the map is 5 times smaller than chernarus, sure it has base building and vehicles but it's honestly a fucking bore to play , i played about two hours straight and decided I never will play that crap game again... It just literally is nothing special and aims to try and replicate every other good survival game , it looks nice but that's only in screenshots and theory . Please don't waste your money haha , and try to buy another game like the forest (actually has potential) and don't be aroused by the fact that dayz is taking awhile To make . Oh and to be fair , the developers of dayz have said MULTIPLE TIMES that the game would take 3 years to make , so no the due date was NOT PUSHED BACK . We are technically right on schedule take a month or so because persistence and CLE gave us a challenging run . So anyone who says this game is being delayed constantly , please stop spreading misinformation before I bench you and your mother , 2 sets 8 reps . -

If that's your reason for disliking the game atm then that's very sad lol ... Even when they add all the content in the world people wont stop from killing , this is the apocalypse , you better get the jump on the guy next time so you can control the situation better ! This game has provided me more hours than any other game save for monster rancher 2 (Lolz) and I'm seeing it blossom into a beautiful ass creature that shatters expectations of quality of multiplayer games . Stick around and in about 1-3 months we are going to see an Influx of new content and server optimization people won't be able to stay away ! I personally can't wait for .59 branch , confirmed 3 new vehicles , more in depth vehicle repairing mechanic and who knows what else new content .

So they didn't say anything? They should, they are the most important problems Dayz has. And you are wrong, the new renderer was indeed intended for today's presentation: "Lead Producer Brian Hicks will be speaking at RTX 2015 - discussing the plans for apocalyptic Chernarus moving into the end of the year. It would be interesting to see a big rural area with snowy mountains, and small towns all over the map, civilian weaponry would be more common, and maybe people would need to hunt in order to obtain food, vehicles would be important too, it would be interesting to design a high security prison with military loot too.

I actually think there should be no freeform basebuilding at all. Instead you should be able to fortify/barricade existing houses/buildings, only. The bigger the building you chose, the more work it will be, but the more options you'll get to place machinery and storage. That way even solo players can get a moderate base build. The problem here is with lootspawns, because it will block them up. Imagine someone walling himself into the industrial buildings just to hoard mechanical parts. However, I think those bases wouldn't survive long. Ideally, the house you build in should just reset and be empty, so you can start filling it with your own interior. I think this could be done easily by despawning all props in a radius from the main door/gate. The only thing I'd like to see for us to be able to build are various types of fences and gates. Starting with simple wooden fences and working all the way up to tall military style fences with barbed wire top. So you can actually expand your complex and lock up vehicles inside, too. Unless they are in a car tent, they can be shot through the fence, though. I'd also make fences impervious to vehicles driving through/over them. I know it's not suprrealistic, but otherwise it would be too easy to break them. Explosives, on the other hand, may get the job done. The reason why I like fences is, because they might have multiple uses. As base building material and later perhaps for fencing in animals or safekeeping your horse/mule (against predator animals only). I think, each should have their advantage. For example, a base made of tents would basically just give you a place to crash and start out with; kind of a backup/starter base to begin collecting tools for building and stock up on supplies. The house base should be able to connect to a generator or electric grid and allow for building of advanced structures inside. For example: a forge to repair knifes/tools or to cast bullets and a workbench to repair and modify guns and rifles. Or a medical cabinet with some content that can be refilled. Storage boxes, of course. I'm much more interested in the structures we can build inside our bases than in the base-building itself. There should be various ways to lock and protect your base, too. Like several different kinds of bars (plywood, solid wood, iron, steel) to lock up the base from the inside, even without a padlock or key. The stronger the material used, the harder it is to get in. Padlocks can be found and keys can be manufactured at workbenches. I'd also opt for just finding the workbench parts (and other parts) scattered on the map; maybe you need to recycle existing structures for the parts. Perhaps this can even lead to some cooperation, because people would prefer to be able to use these tools, even if it means they have to share them with another. The basebuilding in Ark (was mentioned above), has one disadvantage - it unbalances the game. Even if you let aside building in caves in Ark, the big tribes can pretty much own a map and tear down all smaller bases during the night, using the stolen resources to make their own base nearly impossible to attack. On the long run the bigger tribes make it impossible for the small ones or solo players to build anything decent, since it is torn down within a couple of days. I don't want that to happen to Dayz, as one of Arks few flaws is the nightly raiding of your base and impossibility to protect it properly. I think in Dayz, bases should be pretty safe if you build/plan them right. You can still crack them, but it should take a lot of effort and time. It would also be great, if the bases had flags, in order to identify the owners clan. It should be possible to form alliances by exchanging your flag with others, so you'll raise 2,3 or 4 flags, instead of one. Bases should also have a mailbox, so you can leave notes for each other. Generally, I'd only allow for base building inside houses, if the zombies within a certain radius have been cleared out.

Somehow, hackers were able to teleport all stuff (zeds, players and vehicles) to their location. I was in Stary Sobor, got teleported back to hacker in between two Sobors on road. I fell on ground, didnt break leg, and like 10 zombies came on me. I killed them all, and somehow succeed to kill hacker ( he was mid-geared without gun ) by shooting him and while shouting GET REKT BIT*CH! 12/10 would laugh my ass of again Its not hard to play alone, I always play on servers with around 30 people, and I rarely die. If you want, you can join a lot of other groups if you dont like to be alone, but trust me, every living legend and proffesional player started building his skills alone.

ok exploit is maybe the wrong word. I dont wanna see playerbuilded sandbagnests in cherno for sniping down new spawns. Or shacks in the middle of the street between elektro and cherno to block vehicles. Stuff like this I hope wouldnt be possible because if there are clans with 5 people or more they will get the resources for those trollin actions and if its possible somebody will do it. edit: If the devs find a way to balance this I would be very happy building my own base from the scratch in the woods

In general I think DayZ does not need an increase in general loot numbers. If anything the amount of ready to eat food, firearms, ammo and ammo boxes spawning should be reduced. I would rather like to get my ammo mostly from small piles or magazines. Now with upcoming changes like vehicles not being ready to drive, a stamina system and increased zombie numbers the amount of loot spawning be appear more appropiate. Variety is always welcome be it in loot items, buildings, animals or zombies. Special mentions goes to character customization and identification which is absulutely vital for more complex non-PvP gameplay element. More crafting makes the game much more interesting - especially if it helps survival and the resources are not trivial to get. More realistic functions would often improve the game be it in combat situation (...magic zeroing, peeking...), general logistics (... magic weapon slots...) or environment (... weather...) Now the above looks pretty negative but in many cases the base architecture is there or in the works and the mass/quality might come with development. Now I do not thin DayZ needs more towns or cities though some areas in the Northwest lack points of interest at the moment. Again as with loot game development might cause the distances between towns and their size to appear much greater in the future which also means more wilderness in between. But for this the PvE/survival part has to be a thing otherwise its just "running simulator with some deathmatch". Graphics are okay so far save for some minor issues with grass, undergrowth, water and nightvision. Just "better graphics" are not necessary especially when it impacts performance. As a final note I did not vote for more bugfixing because I see fixing bugs as absolutely core - so "more bugfixing" would mean more bugs in the first place.

They're in the game files, but it doesn't really mean anything. There's also the Skorpion, a knight helmet, a golden desert eagle, a UH-1Y helicopter, GP-25 and M203 grenade launchers, and all of the upcoming vehicles in the files - the GP-25 and M203 have been in there since release and probably won't be happening anytime soon. However, it isn't unreasonble to presume that most of them will make it in at some point. Either way, there's no way they haven't talked about it (alcohol has been suggested time and time again) so I'm sure vodka is in DayZ's future.

My life is not complete with compact shotguns until the Chiappa 1887 is in. Especially if they add motorcycles and the ability to shoot from vehicles. -
Here is some quick feedback. Survival promotes empty or low populated servers because other players are the biggest danger. We want full servers don't we? Perhaps a survival score could be weighted. For example 1 day of survival on a full server = 1 week of survival on an empty server. Shopping carts are a must have! Bag ladies are a staple in the ol' post apocalypse. Hand pumped railroad carts for vehicles. Goes faster with two people. Ham radio spawns (like green mountain) broadcast to the entire server. Can be left on auto repeat. Keep up the good work.

Engine development takes longer, normally. Much longer. I have seen a lot of people complain about how slow DayZ is being developed, in their eyes, and I think that, honestly, the opposite is true. Most original games take two or three years to build, even using a completed engine and just adding on to it with mechanics, asset creation and similar tasks. This means that the game development and release alone takes two years or so for most games. DayZ is not most games, firstly. The servers are smaller than most other MMO's, but DayZ is absolutely comparable, development wise, to other MMO(rpg)'s. MMO's tend to take even longer to develop - more like four or five years at a minimum. But the DayZ dev team isn't even just developing an MMO in the normal way... They're pretty much rebuilding an entire engine while developing the game on this incomplete engine. Look how far the game has come over the last year and a half. You might claim that it's the same, like many, but to name just a few things: Network bubble, increasing performance. CLE, completely changing the looting system. Animals Hunting Farming Fishing Crafting Large scale map changes Zombie AI Animal AI Tonnes of different items Countless bug fixes Incredible Anti-Cheat improvements Vehicles Persistence And that is a just few of the more visible things. Under the hood, there's the physics engine, the multi threading, 64 bit support and new renderer to name a few things that they've been working on almost this whole time. A lot of this is coming fairly close to completion/initial testing release, too. When you actually compare the development of DayZ to anything else, taking in to account the fact that they are building an engine at the same time, for an MMO, it is downright ridiculous to claim that development is slow. Look in to it if you don't believe me. They're actually going pretty damned fast, especially considering that nothing quite like DayZ has ever been done before.

Do not join this server. Obviously I should have read the posts here because they still have admin problems. The guy who previously abused is gone, however the admin who posted this is even worse. For the week that my clan and I played here, he did nothing but plague us, spawn in weapons to shoot at us, vehicles to shoot at us, and killed us. Finally we started recording everything and the owner said that Affliction Gaming (thats his in-game name as well) would be demoted, so he started abusing even more and after finding out he was going to be demoted, he deleted all of my clan's stuff. The owner is very lazy and still has yet to demote him, vector building doesn't work properly, and the coin system is so fucked up, if you log out you lose all your coins in your bank and on your person. There goes half the server's player-base, bye.
