interesting indeed, we sat for a couple of hours waiting to ambush them repairing a humvv we assumed their crew stuffed in a tree, we reckoned they had gone to factory for 2 wheels, so sent someone off to recon when they found the SUV, and decided it was a bait car, when he came back from factory the SUV was blown - somehow our paths didn't cross, the tension waiting was enough though maybe it was just as well for my hearts sake!!..

4 for ages, then one headed off to factory to scout, it started off when someone in the humvv tried to run one of the crew off the road and crashed it into the tree, they picked me up and we went back to the scene, found the hummer and I stayed at the crash site while they headed off to change hardwear. While I was there a motor bike and the suv / or Ural stopped to check the wrecked vehicle - I couldn't really tell as I was cowering in a bush wondering to myself how they hadn't seen me, anyways 2 other of our crew picked up wheels to fix the hummer and came to our position, where we decided to ambush instead, but after a couple of hours no show, we just fixed up the hummer and took it..

We 'heard' someone driving in Vybor (they seemed to disappear...) not too long after killing the Germans & Jay.

I'm guessing that was the motorbike and Ural you spotted.

Reckon we must've missed you by a couple of minutes!

Slightly off topic, but how do you turn on the wee stats box on the top right of your screen there Calibre? I've not seen that since joining this server, and thought it was a server side setting :blush:

I believe it's the 'insert' key.

I use an Apple keyboard and as a result to pay for my stylish ways, Apple punish me by not providing an 'insert' key :(

I think In the new patch you can assign a key to the 'stats monitor'.

Go to options -> controls -> 'custom controls' in the drop down list -> assign a key to 'use action 20'.

because quite frankly, when i sopke with mac about the first incident, his response was less than I expected- in that i got the impression his head is fried with wee wankers combat logging, like the the two above. Naming and shaming isn't crying, its calling people out for being cunts.. there is a difference. the shite that nub Hubert spouted was hilarious, does he think I, or the people I was playing with came down with the last fall of rain? the people who are doing it just fucking wise up and sto it, if you cannot counduct yourself in the manner the server expects with one golden rule - No Logging, why join the server?

I'd agree that Mac's recent responses to reports of combat logging and general misconduct have been less than... convincing.

Niek is a prolific twat on the server and has received several warnings for combat logging and other shitty behaviour and yet when we reported him combat logging this weekend (twice in one day)... Mac's only response was that he's "only a kid". He's not 5 years old, I'm fairly sure if he turned into a script kiddie it wouldn't be acceptable.

There's rules for a reason, if you decide to break them several times even after admins warning you - you deserve to be banned permanently.

If not what's stopping me from hacking, abusing bugs or combat logging. As far as I'm concerned I'm certain I could get away with it all if I wanted to (I know others already are).

Let's not have a blame culture here. Mac is a good admin, and more importantly a good guy. You cannot expect him to be watching the server all the time.

I think we should all remember to get the Date,Time,Location,and Names of those involved, and report it when admins are available. Anyone who gets this will stand far more of a chance.

Warn them, then ban them the next time... - Theres so many people who get kicked for not being whitelisted just yet, let someone else play.

The ones that complain about combat logging are the ones that play the game correctly, and are no fools, they know when someone has combat logged and when they have not.

On a more positive note, for all those reading this topic wondering whether to join, this really is one of the best servers around. Loads of good players, people of all different intentions, those setting ambushes, those camping cherno, those fixing cars and helicopters, those tree hugging in the sticks on their own. If you want action, come here, if you dont, come here as well. If you want to get in with a group you can, or play alone you can. There's always something to be doing.

Some of the things that have happened in recent dayz have been by far my best times on DayZ.

Send an Email to Mac and he will Whitelist you asap. You wont regret it.

I don't expect Mac to be able to watch over the server all the time, however, when there are numerous reports of a single player breaking the rules I don't expect for them to receive special treatment because of their age.

I agree, and in all honestly I feel sorry for him, cause he really did genuinely sound like his head was fried the other night, if I was him, i'd just close membership for a week or two and then start seperating the wheat from the chaff, and then operate a one out, one in policy - the standard of game play on the server is definately by and large great at the minute, there are more than enough players on regularly to do this.
