castun66 20 Posted June 12, 2012 Here is the easiest way to install beta patch on steam:1. download beta patch from here: http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php2. extract file and run the setup.3. goto your Arrowhead folder (Steam/steamapps/common/Arma 2 operation arrowhead)4. Backup original Arma2OA.exe file5. find beta folder (Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead/Expansion/beta)6. cut/paste arma2oa.exe file from beta folder to main Operation Arrowhead folder7. Goto Steam Library' date=' right click on ARMA2 Operation Arrowhead and goto 'properties' at the bottom of the list.8. In the properties, click on 'Set launch options...'9. in the box, copy and paste this: -beta=Expansion\beta;ca;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=@DayZ;ca -nosplashAnd start ARMA2: Operation Arrowhead normally.Viola![/quote']This is how I've been running the beta for the past week, which worked great. However, all of a sudden the other day it would crash immediately. Even tried to reinstall the beta patch, copy it back over, etc. No idea why. I'm thinking maybe I need to completely delete the /beta/ folder and start from scratch, almost seems like something got corrupted (that the verify game cache integrity wouldn't catch, since the beta folder is not covered in that.) I had a hopper zombie following my tracks inside one of the large warehouses. I was crawling around in a circle hoping he was just passing through, but found out after a couple laps that he was following my tracks! I believe they only do this though if you aggro them in the first place. I think I alerted him while I was inside, but he lost his aggro somehow when he entered because he wasn't moving quickly like an aggroed hopper would. Crazy that he was able to track me though. ATOJAR 23 Posted June 12, 2012 Anybody wanting to install the latest beta arma patch, Heres a piss easy way to do so. http://dayz.sykotix.com/arma-ii-beta-client-install/When you are done just place a shortcut of the bat script you copied into the base of your Arma II: AO directory onto your desktop and use that shortcut to play the game, Works fine for me.
