Does this address the issue of flashing screen that is associated with running multiple gpus; i.e, crossfire.

It happens only at the first few seconds of the video. I tried recording it with fraps or other capturing programs, but it makes the flashes go away the moment I hit record.

It happens randomly but frequently. The only problem was, I couldn't replicate the flashing when I want to. Hence, I'm unable to isolate what's the cause of it.

yes.

No it does not, go make a thread in the general discussion.

Rocket will their be more available mirrors to download the 1.7.2.5 patch from? I was looking to try it out but i dont want to wait or feel like i should wait 4 hours for 100 mb to download when my normal download speed is anywhere from 1-2mb per second.

Reverting back to .4. Still getting artifacting on some servers (albeit, not as bad), magazines still being refilled on logout, bandit skin glitches, etc. Basically, everything that was supposed to be fixed is still broken, and the new skins are broken as well.

Let's get rid of starting backpack in the next patch. It will make it more interesting when you find your first backpack. Come on, Rocket. :)

does that statement have anything to do with the 1.7.2.5 update?

Well, supposedly Lingor doesn't have quite as many bugs in 1.7.2.5 as does Chernarus.

This is useful in telling us that some of the problems (e.g. spawning at the coast with no gear) are hive related

Edit: Reverted back to 1.7.2.4 yesterday. Oddly enough I still spawned at the coast in 1 out of 2 tries, luckily with all my gear on me.

It took some time for the gear to load up though ( My gun didn't appear for a while until I opened my backpack to see if it was still there)

The fact that these bugs are creeping into 1.7.2.4 on 1.7.2.4 servers is further evidence that it might be a hive problem entirely. Did the whole hive got updated to 1.7.2.5, regardless of the server you play on?

I love it too. It's so much better and weighs in at only 1.9MB. Six is 17.6MB.

Prob because Six is not dedicated to Dayz, handles a lot of other mods.

Haven't seen any graphical glitching that I did prior to 1.7.2.5 as of yet but only played about 30mins since patching thanks to breaking a leg lol.

Having said that, have Z's vision / hearing been amped as part of the hearing bug fix?

Me and a mate were crouch walking at night and were getting Z's aggro at a longer distance than I've ever seen at night before.

It used to be that creeping at night the chance of detection was very low, you could almost stick your finger in their ears (if still attached) before they noticed you, last night they almost had daylight level detection :)

No complaints, just curious if anyone else noticed this?

I think it's funny that DayZ is at gamescon. I wonder which version they're running... lol. I seriously hope they stay away from any of the military stuff, that should be fun to show people. 'HEY PLAY OUR MOD SUPPORT US.' 'YEAH THIS LOOKS AWE... WHAT THE FUCK?! I CAN'T SEE OH SHIT I'M BEING EATEN ALIVE AND I CAN'T SEE BECAUSE THERE'S A GIANT GREEN TRIANGLE TAKING OVER MY ENTIRE FIELD OF VIEW.'

1.7.2.5 was rushed. 'OH SEEMS LIKE ARTIFACTS ARE GONE WE'RE GOOD. GAMESCON!'

... i think having a functional product would be better than getting the word out, especially at gamescon. considering the little amount of promotion that you guys have actually done on your own only goes to show how successful word of mouth is. 'BLAHBLAHBLAH YOU DIDN'T PAY FOR IT, IT'S IN ALPHA.' well seeing as how dayz standalone will be under bohemia and bohemia gets the loot for the sales of arma and bohemia pays your paycheques... i'd say it's safe to say a lot of us have paid for dayz already. that being said i have no problem paying for a standalone product... but with patches like these? i don't even care about the new content as so much being able to see. it's a giant buzzkill. some people say they don't have them while others do, and i'm sure that's not going to do anything for them when they get shot by someone whilst lost in artifact hell.

Graphical glitches are still there in 1.7.2.5. They are in balota airfield, NW airfield, Bernezino, story sabor, and chernogorsk. Thats the places i have seen them.

Still I love this game so keep up the good work guys, and i cant wait for the standalone :)

The standalone seems to be a high priority - and it needs to be. But so does adding new content, fixing existing bugs, and stopping exploits/hacks. What I'm wondering is where Rocket's priorities are. As a mod, DayZ won't be at the numbers it's at now in a year. But if he focuses only on the standalone, he won't be adding new content to the mod to keep people engaged. As it is presently, there is literally nothing for players to do once they're fully geared - other than camp coastal cities. Sure, enjoyable for a short time period - but when you have people intentionally dying to zombies just so they die and have to re-gear, for lack of anything else to do, it says something.

This mod is amazing thus far - I applaud the work leading up to this point, and I agree DayZ deserves all the attention it's been given. But there needs to be something there to keep that attention, or it's going to fizzle out in 3 months. Yeah, you'll have the die-hards that will stay for years - every game has those - but out of the 'million' players right now, he's going to lose 900k+ if something doesn't get better.

Solution: Get a bigger team together, set some solid priorities, and get stuff done. Worry about GamesCom when you have more than just a mod to show off.

Just my two cents.

Played a while last night - definitely still seeing the graphical glitches, though not as bad as before.

HOWEVER: repeated flushing seems to get rid of them semi-permanently. For those of you who don't know the trick:

First, press and release Shift + "NUMPAD MINUS"

Then type in F L U S H. The screen will go black for a second or two (perhaps more, depending on your system). After doing this two or three times, the graphical glitches go away, at least temporarily.
