This place is a fucking death trap... plain and simple. No matter what your intention was for this "colony" to be at the beginning, it is far from that now.

When I had taken my journey there, with 20-25 people on the server at night.. I had been picked off by a l85 thermal-whoring bandit. (Which was to be expected) I simply re spawned and ran back. Second time I was there, I had CLEARLY made it obvious that I was there out of pure curiosity, stating that I am friendly and I am here to trade and barter, through VOIP and direct chat. No responses yet I manage to die from a DMR.

My third and final trip there- I had finally reached some of the tents inside and managed to look around, which there were no vehicles, but plenty of tents. As I continued to loot some of the tents and check out the gear, I head some silenced shots inside the compound. I slowly approached the player from behind and took him out noticing he had been shooting at me. As I went to loot his body, 15+ satchel charges went off and I died from an unknown cause.

Attempted? I was banned DURING my raid, that wasnt even a raid, i was just trying to get out and play, hence why I told you my location. I wouldnt doubt it, once they know someone is in there they will do whatever it takes to get you out, thats why im pretty sure they spammed satchel charges to make it look like a "airstrike" and to ban me just to get me out, luckily i was recording lol

Appeal in the Ban Appeal forum thread, show them the video, maybe they can get you unbanned.

My friend and I visited the colony this evening (although I saw none of what you describe). I approached unarmed, I was met and asked my intentions, and I explained I was there merely to see what they'd built. I was told firmly (but not rudely) to keep away from the tents and vehicles. Aside from a lot of artifacts, things were fairly uneventful. We had a look around and were escorted away without incident.

As we left, we did see a heli spin up and fly away. Oh, and some kid with a soldier skin being creepy.

I do question how the "airstrike" video fails to show you infiltrating the compound... almost like you had simply appeared there. Posting the whole video might corroborate your story further.

Anyway, nice camp and nice effort guys. We'll be back to bring you some of the items we discussed.

Why the hell would the only colony kill its people inside destroy there on cars just to get one little bandit ban I honestly thought u did a nice job taking those fellas out luckily I was put on a chopper run but don't think we would do something so special for you

o.O lol so im sitting up on the hill to the north and was looking down at ur the camp just now seeing if it was safe or not to enter just checking it out not shooting or anything just being safe and all and you guys start shooting at me :blush: so much for that idea

Why are people even considering it an "airstrike"

There is obviously no jet or military airplane capable of being in the game. Also no chopper can support a weapon that isn't the mounted light machine guns and you cannot fire weapons while in the plane.

Resulting in either a mass duplication of satchel charges, or a hacked event.

Warning to anyone wanting to go there. They shoot on site. Even if you are just looking for a distance with binoculars they will shoot on site. Fair warning they pose as "friendlies" but will shoot you.

been running around the colony for a while so I'll tell you my experience with these people. Basically the first night bandits raided the colony with AS50s and killed a few people. They were banned with a message like AS50 LOL and were dismissed as hackers. Most of the security team kept saying they wanted a REAL bandit attack instead of these hackers.

Later on I returned to the colony to just chill out for a bit when they were attacked by "Hackers" who had killed off most of they Security force and were now being shot at after a while of this and being assured someone is out there looking for them they then tell everyone its safe.

A short time after that raid another group or the same one shows up and kills everyone in the building. Now everyone is dead and the bans go out to "hackers."

Now Me and some Aussie are the only people left me because I was hiding in the tent and Him because he was out of the compound or something. We grab a truck and proceed to pick people up.

I was on TS heading down the coast with my Aussie driver Hunter and others were talking over vent. He proceeded to say " I know they were hacking because I hack myself Just to look for other hackers."

He spawns a Sports car of some kind for a friend on the coast so he can get back to the it was a sports car of some kind because I remember him saying to not bring it to the colony and to ditch it near. Well he is spawning a Car for his friend he said "Hey, check out what Rocket is putting into the game" and he spawns some unknown Car/Truck after showing who ever this was he tells them to back away so he can destroy it.

After we all get back from the coast of picking up all our people we then get to the colony and that's probably when LuminatX and his group shot up the place, Server then shuts down.

If your still planning to go here maybe this will change your mind the security is basically useless they get destroyed by snipers. I have walked into the compound had no one around basically looked around seen tents unguarded.

If you go you will be asked to place your weapon in the tent and your gun can go missing.

You have NVG you clearly stole them and then you get shot.

People shoot you if your run on the road, in the compound and if your defending yourself from zombies in the compound.

I was near the colony when the "Airstrike" happened no Explosions no noise like that just a chopper flying around and I'm fairly sure someone shot that down.

The last time I tried to head to the colony I walked down to the road with a Lee rifle with no ammo or NVGs, I say "I'll hit up the deer stand that away from the Factory. I start running away from the place and their "Snipers" start firing at me thankfully they are about as accurate as Imperial Stormtroopers and zig zag the hell out of there when I hear a Jeep start coming after me. Thankfully their only slightly better at shooting and I only get clipped by them on my way to the forest.

TLDR - Hunter is a Hacker, Colony Shoots at friendlies, Security is Worthless, Succuessful attack = Ban

Sounds like a pretty sweet idea. Like that it promotes a good 'cause' and brings drama and bandit allure to the area...as someone else mentioned, some purpose. But...from that posted video, seems the 3 were following protocol and was shot at the gate, I didnt see that addressed.

I was raiding the Fire Station in Elektro on this server and I logged off to take a piss. I log back on and turn my NVG's to see that I have been teleported in front of the "colony" and shot immediately. The players online were SoundSO, Capo, Cxm0239 and HoS. I'm also requesting an admin from US 1040 to check the logs on this incident.

We hit you with DMR 3 times because you didn't follow the procedure that says follow the road, you proceeded to run around and go "awwwwww mannnnn" after I banned you I couldn't find a body, so I told you via TS that if you can provide the video I'll unban you. Was a bit fishy you wouldn't die and with the amount of hackers that attack us we're a bit weary.

Hope your failure of a server gets blacklisted for all the admin abuse you guys use, don't bother quoting or responding to me with the fact that everyone you ban use hacks, you guys suck dick at this game hence why you opened this colony - for more failures to meet up with each other. I will be on later with a few friends to raid your shit, frapsing it all. 100 dollars on server restarts or we get banned for hacking/whatever you retards can find an excuse for, also - bring all your script kiddies with you, they can spot positions for you anyday. If you're gonna ban 'hackers' - ban your own while you are at it, wait, I forgot you all suck at the game and can't do without them.

My US 1040 experience.

After walking all the way from the NWAF, I finally reached their compound. I knew it was a risky move to go here, but my curiosity got the better of me and I started down the road, following the procedures outlined in this post. I used my L85 TWS to scan the compound from a distance, and saw no movement. I walked another 100 meters or so and checked the place again, still no signs of life. I started to get suspicious, so I thermal scanned the trees on either side to check for snipers. Still nothing.

Then I reached the gate, and I saw it. Bodies up and down the road, and hordes of flies buzzing around them. Dead survivors lined the streets, and there was no one at the compound to greet me. I walked inside and found a tent with some nice gear in it, and I used it to restock on ammo and food. When I turned around to leave the creepy place, I casually scanned the trees again. My heart almost stopped when I practically made eye contact with two snipers on the hill across the street, both of them looking straight at me. I ran behind the fuel tank in front of the building, just they opened fire. An AS50 and a DMR, from the sound of it. Their bullets tore up the grass mere inches from me, and they unloaded what must have been 10-12 rounds trying to nail me.

Having no cover to run to on either side, I was contemplating my next move on how to escape the snipers when I heard footsteps next to me. Another player in camo clothing walked right up to where I was hiding, carrying an M4A1 CCO SD. Somehow he didn't see me proning in the grass in my ghillie suit, and he walked right past me. Since the snipers weren't firing on him, I can only assume he was with the bandits. I could see some vehicles parked next to the main building, so after waiting a minute or two, I ran across the courtyard and hid by the vehicles. The guy in the camo that was looking for knew something was up and started coming my way, so I unloaded on him with my L85. He hit the deck bleeding, and his sniper buddies started dumping bullets into the parked cars next to me. I jumped on the motorcycle and tore outta there like a bat out of hell, riding around the south end of the complex away from the snipers.

Now I was pissed. I had 4 satchel charges in my backpack, and this place was going to pay for taking potshots at me. I walked the long way around, heading 500 meters south, then east, then circling back around to the north side of the complex, aiming to come up the hill behind the snipers and put a few rounds into them from behind. When I got up there though, there were no more snipers. From my vantage point on the hill, I could see the front gate. There were now 5-6 guys milling around at the entrance. I wasn't sure whether the snipers who fired at me were part of the compound's security team, or just random bandits.

Then the most curious part happened. I watched as an unarmed survivor walked up the road to their compound, moving slowly, staying on the road, and unarmed. He was greeted at the gate, then taken into the compound. They moved around a corner, then I didn't see him for about 6 minutes. After that waiting time, the survivor came back out, geared up with an AKM, an alice pack, and NVGs. The newbie walked down the road, and the guards saluted him on the way out.

Seeing these acts of kindness, I decided not to bomb their building into oblivion and instead connected to their teamspeak server. When I asked why they fired at me, they insisted that the snipers on the hill were not part of their group and had already killed three of them, and that they had not been at the compound until just recently. I told them my story about having to avoid the snipers and the soldier that came after me, stealing the motorcycle, and coming back to blow the place up. When they said it wasn't them, I walked down into the compound and actually conducted some trades, giving them the satchels in exchange for some AS50 rounds and a GPS.

After we traded, they hopped in their ural and said they were going to raid the NWAF, and invited me to tag along. What started off as a bloodbath ended well, with me making a couple new friends and finding out that these guys are legit. Unfortunately, some lame hacker nuked the NWAF and killed us all (including the admin). And I do mean NUKED, the entire countryside was on fire and visible for miles. We hiked up there the long way to retrieve our gear, and just as we got it all back, we were killscripted. No shots, no booms, just everyone dead (again, including the server admin). At this point, the admin restarted the server and kicked everyone that was not in our group.

Eventually we made it back to the compound, and they gave me a spare AS50 and a coyote pack free of charge to make up for the ones that I lost to the hackers at the NWAF. Happy to get some of my stuff back, I left the server as quickly as possible and probably won't go back.

In summary, there are bandits and hackers plaguing this place constantly, and if you get hacked/sniped, it is most likely not the colony members doing it. I personally watched them help one total newb, and give assistance to two others throughout the course of the night. These guys are legit, stop giving them flak. The bandits are the normal fagtarded bandits there to ruin everyone's day because they have nothing better to do, and the hackers blowing people up and kill scripting are not associated with members of this colony. The other posters in this thread that are accusing the colonists of hacks, are most likely the hackers that keep blowing the place up.

TL;DR VERSION

Went to the colony, got shot at, ran away, came back to blow it up, found out the snipers were just passing bandits, conducted some trades, went to raid the NWAF with these colonists, got nuked by hackers, went back to get my stuff, got autokilled by a hacker, colony members donated an AS50 and a coyote pack to me for my troubles. In short, this place is constantly raided by hackers and bandits, but the guys that run the place are actually cool and I don't think they are shooting at anyone.
