@ the Vilayer gents,

Can you please come up with something that will give us (server admins) a (mail) warning when you guys start updating / rebooting servers?

In the past 2 weeks (last night for example) our server was updated and rebooted while in the middle of NW airfield operation, this is very annoying (cars not saved, people warped back to old positions etc).

Not to mention we re-login in a very dangerous spot..hate to die because of this..

Just a suggestion.

The only problem i have have since getting the server is

1. The server I ordered was suppose to be hosted in the UK, you set it up in luxembourg and I later was told by casey on your ts that you had no brittish spaces available

2. The server was set up sharing an instance id with another server which casey fixed for me

3. It would have been nice for some communication regarding having no uk spaces available before you actually just decided to base it in luxembourg

4. Yes I would like it switched to a uk server at some point but my only concern is a) that would mean a new instance id right? B) we would lose any stuff we have done already c) you guys seem so busy that even this would probably take a while to happen, and as with problem 2 above it would not be set up right or with any care.

If it means a fresh start then fair enough, I ordered a UK location so you really shouldnt be setting up server in other countries with no warnings to the paying customer, more care should also be given when setting up these new servers so that they dont end up sharing instance id's with other servers.

Apart from that then all is good so far

Afaik all EU servers are physically located in France. I wanted a DEXX instance, got LU20. But, I don't really care about.

I had the same problem. I ordered a server in Chicago, only to find out that its in the Dallas,TX. I was never notified of this change, I only found out by doing a trace route to my server IP. They also refused to move my server. They shouldn't be listing all these available locations if they are just going to provision them elsewhere.

Hi there everyone,

I've been sitting in the Teamspeak and on Skype all day today and haven't even seen a ViLayer employee. I've seen probably 20 different users come in and out without being helped. I understand that you have other things you need to attend to, but your customers should be the number 1 thing...

How long has it taken you other ViLayer users to get support/initial setup?

I guess i spoke a little too soon, not 5 minutes after this post Casey came on, cleared everything up for me, and got me an instance ID.

So my server is currently up and running and everything runs great! No dsync and fantastic ping! I just have one question, it appears that there are no vehicles on my server. I sent a support ticket and it was answered promptly saying that this is a problem with Dayz. I haven't been able to find anything on the internet about this issue, and was wondering if I could get some more information on what exactly the problem is (Do vehicles never spawn or does it just take time?)

Hey Wave,

It depends on your instance ID number. I believe if it is above 6000, then you will have to wait until they push vehicles on the server. Don't quote me on the number, but it is definitely a hive deal.

Just one question: what is location routing when you order a server? All the servers seem to be physically located in Luxembourg (when you chose europe), so your country code will always be "LU". What is the location routing for then?

Location routing is when you have a physical location and then connections are pipelined to a specific country for better pings and connections. We actually have 3 main physical hubs. The primary: Lux, the secondary: France and the third: Germany. But yes our main is LUX.

If it is pipelined, the dev team has allowed other country codes to be used as we have FR, DE, LU, SE, ES, NL and UK.

six launcher is now updating to 1.7.2.4 whats the eta? and apparently we need another beta patch newer than 95312?

Anyone else having trouble reaching their ACP?

Also, if I do get to login to the ACP it says my server is stopped; although it seems to be running if I check it through Rcon / ingame browser?

I can get in through ACP but our server keeps stopping itself as well. Wont stay up for more than 5 minutes. #685021 any Vilayer folks in here that might know?

if you cant get your acp up try clearing your cookies and shit with ccleaner,,, if that doesnt help send a ticket

I think I figured out my issue....I removed branding by mistake when I was making some changes. I put it back but doesnt seem to have helped. Waiting on a response to ticket now.

Well something must be going on, not just with the ACP. While looking at the server through RCon I see all kinds of errors I never saw before:

'failed to receive update from BE Master'

That error comes up a lot. Also hardly any players in the server. Connecting and disconnecting. And to top it all off; my server has the status unknown in the ACP?

update: got into the ACP again and am able to update the server to the latest build!
